bucket list (noun) a number of experiences or achievements that a person hopes to have or accomplish during their lifetime.
Here at House of Coco we all have our own bucket lists which are always expanding! Here are a couple of things we have come across that you might want to add to your own list…
1 – Swim the Largest Swimming Pool in Chile
At the San Alfonso del Mar resort in Chile, a quick dip could well turn into a marathon. This pool across is larger than 20 Olympic-size swimming pools and is filled with 66 million gallons of crystal clear seawater!
2 – Stay in a Glass Igloo in Finland
Close to the Arctic Circle, you will find tranquility in one of these famous glass igloos. Staying overnight in a glass igloo feels like sleeping in the open, but inside the igloo it is warm and cosy, making an ideal condition for watching the Northern Lights and enjoying starry skies.
3. Stand on the Glass Balcony of the Willis Tower in Chicago
Step outside the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere. At 1,353 feet in the air, the Ledge’s glass boxes extend out 4.3 feet from the Skydeck.
4 – Attend a Carnival in Rio
Rio de Janeiro has long been regarded as the Carnival capital of the world. The Rio Carnaval is not only the biggest Carnival, it is also a benchmark against which every other carnival is compared and one of the most interesting artistic events on the globe.
5 – Drink at the Oktoberfest in Munich
Oktoberfest is the world’s largest Volksfest (beer festival and travelling funfair). Held annually in Munich, Bavaria, Germany, it is a 16-day folk festival running from mid or late September to the first weekend in October, with more than 6 million people from around the world attending the event every year.
6 – Swim Between Two Buildings in London
When it opens… London’s latest planned addition to the skyline is an incredible 25-metre swimming pool suspended between two apartment blocks 10 storeys up! This is part of a new development near the former Battersea power station. The transparent “sky pool” will, the developers say, be the first of its kind in the world. Swimmers will be able to look down 35 metres to the world below as they take a dip, with only 20cm of glass between them and the outside world.
