Review: Orange Elephant Steak

When House of Coco’s Lifestyle Writer, Helena, was invited down to the launch night of the new opening of the hotly anticipated steak restaurant, Orange Elephant located in Chelsea, the carnivore in us definitely couldn’t decline!

Orange Elephant honours the art of a simple, tasty steak and offers a fuss free menu (there is none!), instead, inviting guests to come for one thing and one thing only – delicious 12oz sirloin steak cooked to perfection served with a special house sauce, a side salad and portion of hand cut chips for an impressive £20! For those with a larger appetite there’s the impressive Tomahawk steak, or the bubbling truffle Mac & Cheese in all it’s cheesy gorgeous-ness. All washed down with with signature cocktails from the amazing bar and an extensive wine list.  It’s already placed itself as one of our #TeamCoco favourites!

Orange Elephant is the brainchild of Head Chef Jai Parkinson, whose penchant for the perfect dining experience has become second nature, following his time working with some of the world’s leading chefs over his 18-year career.

Casual dining has never looked so chic and sophisticated, upon entering the natural edge and warm lighting made us welcome into such an elegant and cozy atmosphere. A combination of exposed brickwork, wood floors, pewter table tops and bronze accents will frame the theatre kitchen with Jai and team on full display.

We’re already planning our visit back! The atmosphere, food and drink combination just make for a perfect dining experience, tasty steak cooked to perfection, secret sauce that we’re still trying to guess the recipe for, and it would be a crime to leave without having a taste of the crunchy-topped gooey mac & cheese!

There’s definitely nothing unlucky about this Friday 13th as Orange Elephant is officially OPEN!

Orange Elephant is located on ‘The Beach’, 351 Fulham Road, London SW10 9TW

The two-course set menu is priced at £20
