Now that we’ve passed the mid-point of the year (wait, what? When did that happen?) House of Coco thought it’d be great to have a fashion flashback of the 2016 trends ruling the streets, so far. It’s interesting and inspiring to see which trends we’ve participated in. At House of Coco we’re all guilty of at least one each, so scroll down to see which of the biggest trends you’ve kept up with…
1. Luxury Sportswear
There’s no doubt that we’ve seen Adidas Stan Smiths patrolling the streets paired with some designer tracksuit bottoms and the prominent bomber jacket. This high-end trend is comfortable yet stylish and shows no signs of slowing down. (left: Chloe sweatpants. right: Lucas Hugh Sport Bra)
2. Bomber Jacket
The biggest trend of 2016 so far and most wearable! They come lightweight and a bit thicker for cold weather. You can style these with everything and the best part is they’re available everywhere (no really, everywhere!). You can’t go wrong with a bomber jacket. (left to right: Bershka, Pull & Bear and Zara)
3. Cold shoulders
Off-shoulder and Bardot tops are flattering no matter what your body shape or bust size. We especially like this Light Before Dark Off-Shoulder Top from Urban Outfitters.
If we had a penny for each time we saw a pair of Adidas Stan Smiths or All Stars we’d be extremely wealthy. This comfortable shoe trend has become so popular that seeing them paired with a dress in an office is considered normal. Ever since Phoebe Philo took her bow at Celine in 2010 wearing a pair of Stan Smith’s it appeared that every Fashion Girl simply had to have them too. Keep your eyes peeled though because House of Coco believes that the Adidas Gazelle is making a comeback that will replace your Stans (as seen on Kate Moss above).
This accessory has been spotted on almost every blogger and large handful of celebrities. Ariana Grande wore one in her 2 most recent music videos, so what’s the fuss about? It’s just a simple, yet dainty and classy accessory. (left: ASOS Exclusive Choker with Swarovski Crystals. right: Choker from Topshop)
