7 Ways To Get Over January Blues

It’s that time of year again, everyone’s down in the dumps, Christmas is over, money is hard and it feels like we’re waiting forever to get this blue month over with.

  1. Treat yourself to a relaxing spa day

After a stressful, lazy or over partied Christmas it’s very important to chill out and get some rest. There’s nothing better than taking a trip to the spa to have a day full of pamper and relaxation. With a massage to release tension, a dip in a bubbly hot tub to sooth you and a moist facial to help your skin destress you will feel complete zen after a day of treatment. 2.  Plan a holiday get away

Planning a summer vacation is always exciting and a good way to brighten your mood this month. Choosing the sunny destination, the perfect hotel and booking the flights – so much to look forward to. 3.  Retail therapy

Boxing day calls for one thing… sales! That lead into January. Great news for us shopaholics we can shop ’till we drop. That snake print Zara dress you seen weeks ago has now been reduced to £15. January is not so blue after all with the massive discount you can buy double the amount you normally would. A perfect little treat to make you feel fabulous.

4.   Spend quality time with loved ones

Nothing lifts you up more than the spirit and positivity of your family and people who love you. A special bond and a good heart to heart can cheer you up massively. It doesn’t take a lot of effort either. Whether it be chilling out on the sofa watching films and eating pizza or having a chatter with a cup of tea. Their company is everything to make you feel better. After all, having somewhere to go is home, having someone to love is family and having both is a blessing.

5.  Discover a new hobby

We all have a passion and plenty of interests we enjoy, but maybe this month it’s time to discover something new. It’s good to get out of your comfort zone and try something you wouldn’t normally be interested in.
