Alchemy Super Blends was created to combine all the excellent health benefits of the world’s most nutrient-rich plants. More and more people have recognised the immense power of superfoods such as baobab, wheatgrass and spirulina, and Alchemy brings you all their combined properties all in one go. They want to share the very best that nature has to offer – in convenient and balanced daily combinations for tailored daily needs.

When did you launch the brand and what was the reason behind it?
We launched in July this year. It grew out of the need to offer my friends and patients (I’m a nutritional therapist) plant based protein powders with the added benefits of superfoods. I used to make up blends for my super sporty friends who were just relying on whey protein rather than increasing super greens to deal with recovery and repair which is often overlooked in sports nutrition – this is the reason behind the Sport Elixir.
Whats your background?
I’ve been a nutritional therapist for 4 years now but before that I was selling my soul in the advertising industry…!
What is the hardest challenge you have faced since you started the company?
Switching off is hard in such a digital age – it’s so easy to be on the beach thousands of miles away from home but still having your office on your phone! Don’t get me wrong, without social media and the internet this project would have taken a lot longer to get started. Social media for small companies like ours is such an amazing way to connect with customers and thought leaders!
2015 is here, where do you plan on taking the brand?
We want to really establish ourselves in the UK and as my business partner is Australian, look to extend the brand there and into Hong Kong and Singapore too.
To date, what has been the highlight since launching?
Hearing how the blends are helping our customers is immensely satisfying. We’re fuelling an elite triathlete who swims for up to 5 hours a day who is loving our blends!
Which city do you feel most at home in, London, Paris or New York?
Has to be London! I worked in SoHo for a number of years and still love walking past my old haunts when I visit – Taro for sushi, Sun and 13 Cantons for a beer, Tommy Guns for a haircut; that are all still there despite huge development in the area.
Three beauty products you can’t leave the house without?
I love Dr Hauschka products – the mascara is amazing as is the Rose Day Cream. I must say I do love my Mac matt lipstick too.
Being individual and being practical too!
Best thing about London to you?
There’s so much going on!
Statement shoe or statement bag?
Definitely a statement shoe – loving the leather/metallic loafers from Russell and Bromley this season.
If you had to, what item from your wardrobe would you wear every day?
My Lulu Guinness Mary-Janes!
Favourite love song?
Just Like Heaven – The Cure.
Best place for a coffee?
Mr Wolfe in Brighton (sells Monmouth coffee which is my favourite) and La Fromagerie in Marylebone.
Most memorable piece of advice given to you?
Best business advice is to make sure your product is authentic and get up early!
Friday night curry watching anything by Agatha Christie!
If you could spent 24 hours anywhere in the world, where would it be?
Northern Finland watching the Northern Lights.
In future, how do you plan on expanding the company?
We hope to bring out two new blends next year to further complement our range.
