When did you launch ANFISA Skin and what was the reason behind it?

I began formulating skin care products in 2012 merely as a hobby, and Spring of 2016 the concept of ANFISA Skin came to life, launching in January 2018. Having struggled with acne for over a decade, I extensively researched ingredients in skin care products and their purpose. I found that products ladened with fillers and harsh chemicals further aggravated my acne. That led to product formulation and development, and years later resulted in ANFISA Skin. My personal skincare experience has taken me on a journey to find the right balance of inner and outer beauty. A path I am still travelling today and a path I am sharing with you: ANFISA Skin.

How many people are involved in ANFISA Skin and what are their roles?

ANFISA Skin is a small family affair thus far, with my husband being the photographer and graphics designer, I cover the rest of the bases. In addition to having formulated the ANFISA Skin LILOU Regenerating Balm after two years of research and development, I manage the business end too. There is a lot that comes along with running a new business and having to wear many different hats, but you make it work as long as you are agile, focused, and self-disciplined.

What is the hardest challenge you have faced since you started ANFISA Skin?

My greatest challenge has been finding the right balance between running a brand-new business and taking the time to focus on my personal well-being. A healthy body feeds a healthy mind which translates into a healthy business.

Tell us one fact about you that people wouldn’t know.

I come across as very confident, but I am actually quite reserved. I usually open up if I feel comfortable and then I show you my crazy side.

Where do you plan on taking ANFISA Skin this year?

Currently, ANFISA Skin is sold online at www.anfisaskin.com, but by the end of this year, you will find ANFISA Skin sold in select brick-and-mortar stores.

To date, what has been the highlight since launching?

These past four months since we launched have been so incredible that I couldn’t possibly find the right words to express my gratitude and appreciation for what has transpired. Seeing ANFISA Skin featured in magazines I grew up reading like VOGUE, GQ, ELLE, and COSMO has been nothing short of a dream come true.

What is a beauty product you can’t leave the house without?

Definitely would have been the ANFISA Skin LILOU Regenerating Balm. It’s a multi-use powerhouse; fantastic moisturiser, flyaway tamer, lip balm, and even great as a hand lotion. I always have a jar or two in my purse.

Style means….?

Style to me means personal expression, an essence of who you are, where you’re going, and what you stand for.

If you had to, what piece of clothing from your wardrobe would you wear every day?

My Mackage lambskin leather jacket, it’s a gorgeous pebbled leather, a dream closet staple piece for sure.

Favourite love song?

All of Me – by John Legend.

Most memorable piece of advice given to you?

Guilty pleasure?

My guilty pleasure is ridiculous: gummy candy.

If you could spent 24 hours anywhere in the world, where would it be?

Italy, I mean who doesn’t want fresh, handmade pasta?!
