Rising Stars Redefining the Live Music Scene

From Villanelle’s shoegaze-laced indie to Good Health Good Wealth’s genre-defying sound, these are artists who are not just building buzz but converting it into real momentum. Whether it is sold-out headline tours or stadium supports, these best bands are proving that the UK music scene is thriving with new talent ready to dominate every stage this summer.

The punk duo with their astute and acerbic lyrics are making waves in the music industry and are slowly building up a loyal fanbase. Having toured with IDLES in the back end of 2024, the band are heading out on tour in April on the back of their new album ‘Who Let the Dogs Out’. Their lyrics are scathing yet vulnerable, and if you are looking for one of the best bands who serve up a seriously fierce live performance, look no further than the Lambrini Girls.

Villanelle

Villanelle has already caused a wave of excitement after receiving big receptions every night as the opening band for Liam Gallagher’s huge ‘Definitely Maybe: 30 Years’ tour, celebrating the best band of the nineties stunning debut album. The Villanelle boys are busy recording new music, fresh off the back of their first UK headline tour at the end of last year which included a sold-out homecoming show in London.

It’s clear that Villanelle are set to hit the big time and are pioneering a reimagined indie scene with an intoxicating sonic that combines shoegaze sounds, grunge, and indie. They are one of the best bands in the UK that are on their way up right now!

Good Health Good Wealth

Good Health Good Wealth

When music journalists are citing your band as not just a band with potential, but that they are already “the complete deal,” you know that they are ones to watch in 2025 and beyond. Their amalgamation of alternative indie and UK hip-hop has not only garnered them critical acclaim but spins on Radio 1 too. If Daft Punk and The Streets had a love child, it would probably result in Good Health Good Wealth. Showcasing sharp wit and an astute social commentary with a genre-spanning sound, this duo’s star is set to rise and rise.

Luvcat

Luvcat

With a playful and mysterious allure, the Luvcat sound has been influenced by a myriad of some of the best bands and artists such as The Cure, Velvet Underground, Nick Cave and Frank Sinatra. Serving up an intriguing cocktail of Gothic romantic drama, there’s no doubt that Luvcat has a flair for the theatrical which can be found both in her music and her performance. Having mesmerised TikTok with her eerily romantic world, Luvcat is one of the best artists out there at the moment and is set to dominate the music scene in 2025 and beyond.

Teddy Swims

Teddy Swims

The Grammy nominations have been announced, and it’s no surprise that Teddy Swims’ name has made it onto the prestigious list of nominations. Teddy Swims is the moniker of American singer-songwriter Jaten Collin Dimsdale, and his debut album from 2023 was released to critical acclaim. However, it feels like 2025 is going to be HUGE for the singer-songwriter, who is set to undertake a stadium tour of the UK. Blending R&B, soul, country, and pop, his music touches on themes of substance abuse, codependency, remorse, and heartbreak.

Lottery Winners

Lottery Winners

Indie-pop storytellers Lottery Winners are celebrating the news that they’ll be supporting the iconic Robbie Williams on his massive EU and UK stadium/arena tour in 2025. Their forthcoming album KOKO is seriously looking like it’s going to achieve the top spot in the UK Charts and is poised to expand their fanbase even more as one of the best bands on the festival circuit.

Honestly I’m hearing their name everywhere.” If you haven’t played the ‘lottery’ yet, rest assured you will be seeing them everywhere on the festival scene in the months ahead!

Sabrina Carpenter

Sabrina Carpenter

2024 was US singer Sabrina Carpenter’s breakout year, and there’s no doubt she will build on her astonishing success in the months to come too. She was the first artist in 71 YEARS to spend 20 weeks at Number 1 in a single year in the UK charts and has won countless awards including ‘Song of the Year’ for the impossibly catchy ‘Espresso’.

Set for even more accolades in 2025, the pop star has received six Grammy nominations and won two awards thanks to her effortlessly frothy and playful earworm songs which includes the caffeinated bop that is ‘Espresso’ and the country-tinged ‘Please Please Please’.

Despite already releasing six albums, including 2024’s ‘Short n’ Sweet’, it feels like 2025 will be the year of Sabrina Carpenter and that she is reaping the rewards of a decades-long slow burn.

Griff

Griff

One of the newest Gen-Z pop singers in town, Griff is set to be one of the breakout stars of 2025.
The Brit Award winner opened up for Taylor Swift on the Eras tour and her distinctive vocals, thoughtful lyrics, and passionate delivery has made her a compelling live performer.

Her debut album ‘Vertigo’ achieved a top 3 position in the UK charts and as well as opening for Taylor, she has also toured with Sabrina Carpenter and Coldplay – not a bad achievement considering only three years ago, the British singer-songwriter was recording music in her bedroom at home!

His rise to fame is even more astonishing when you learn he only discovered he could sing FIVE years ago – now that truly is a beautiful thing!
