Shaftesbury is pleased to announce two new US retailers opening stores in October in Newburgh Street this Autumn.  Californian-based watch brand Nixon will open their 650 sq ft UK flagship store at 6 Newburgh Street and Detroit-based accessories brand Shinola will open its first standalone store outside of the US at 13 Newburgh Street and will be set over two floors totalling 550 sq ft.

Shinola will feature the full range of their Detroit-built products; watches, bicycles, journals and leather goods. Representing Detroit as an industrial leader, Shinola believe in the beauty of industry and manufacturing in American luxury through American quality and this will be their only store outside of the US.

Founded in 1997, Nixon will premier their new ‘Horizon’ concept at their Carnaby flagship store, a nod to the Californian diverse landscape.  Customers will be encouraged to interact and experience the Nixon connection with accessible product displays and their first ever workshop-inspired customisation bar, which adds to the range of bespoke pieces only available in Carnaby. In addition to the customisation bar, the new store will showcase an innovative wave table and a large watch wall.

Samantha Bain Mollison, Head of Retail at Shaftesbury says, “We look forward to welcoming both new brands and are delighted they have chosen Carnaby as the destination for their first stores outside of the US. They join the likes of other great brands on Newburgh Street including Filson and Red Wing Shoes.

Nixon and Shinola will join recent new additions to Carnaby; SuperTrash, adidas Originals, APC, Pro-Direct and Brandy Melville.  All of these brands have selected Carnaby for their first or flagship stores.
