Grace Creaner is the brainchild behind Hermia Bridal, a bridal destination that has been created with love at its core.

Looking back over her life, with grief thrown in to the mix after losing her father, her mum has been her biggest inspiration. Everything that Grace embodies is what we stand for here at House of Coco.

She is passionate, creative and destined to make a name for herself in the wedding industry. We are so excited to follow her journey so we spent some time with her to find out more…

Tell us the journey that led you to launching your brand, Hermia Bridal…

Hermia has been alive in my mind for a very long time. I always knew that I wanted my own store and I knew I wanted it to be a new take on bridal. I always felt our area was lacking when it came to having access to more modern bridal designers. And I knew that because those very brides were people like myself and my friends. But for me, I also always place a great deal on timing and strongly believe that our pathway is guided without us knowing. So, when I finished my masters in fashion retailing, I placed everything in the hands of the universe and knew Hermia would come into fruition when it was supposed to if I put the hard work in to it.

I worked in luxury retail before becoming a product content writer for womenswear. I have no doubt in my mind that without this background, I wouldn’t have been able to shape Hermia into what I wanted it to be. Likewise, it wasn’t until I got growing pains in my writing role that the space for the store came up for lease. So, the journey for me really has been all about timing and having faith that what I wanted to create was both important and needed.

Fierce, fearless and free is your ethos. Why was this important to you?

The idea of brides feeling totally empowered is what grounds everything at Hermia. I often allude to the history of marriage when talking about our ethos, because I think it is important to recognise marriage as the institution it once was. We have the privilege of living in a time where marriage is simply about love. And with that comes the autonomy for brides to tell their story through their own style identity.

In the same way marriage isn’t shackled by shadows of the past, bridal styling shouldn’t be either. We’re blessed to work with an amazing portfolio of designers who retain traditional touches, paired with much more elevated design sentiments. It’s all about capturing that classic bridal essence but through designs that have been considered with a dynamic and a trend-driven feel to them.

Your brand story is empowering, can you tell us more about the story behind the brand?

Hermia is very much a love letter to the powerful women in my life, in particular my mum. It all comes back round to our ethos really. I’m inspired by every woman who comes through our door. Hermia lends her name from a character from Shakespeare’s ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’. She famously defied patriarchal order by fleeing to marry for love, rather than marrying the man society intended.

My mum has been the strongest pillar in my life, and she also happens to be a huge adorer of Shakespeare’s work. So, the name made perfect sense really. My mum raised me single-handedly after the death of my father, but then went on to teach me what love is when she met her now husband later on in life. It’s a bit of a cliché, but she really has taught me what it means to be strong and in love all at once. And that’s exactly what Hermia is all about.

Talk us through an average day in your life…

An average day in my life consists heavily of love and caffeine. I have the privilege of meeting so many amazing people every day, which is definitely the best part of the job. The store maintenance aspect is huge to me, as I have worked really hard to create a space which feels both elevated and like home all at the same time. So that does take up a great deal of my time (which is where the caffeine comes in). Outside of appointments, I’m always online touching base with brides who we may have met already and brides who we’re yet to meet.

Visiting a bridal store can be daunting and intimidating, what message would you give to anyone who was worried about visiting your store?

Our store has been really carefully considered to be as relaxed as possible. I consciously chose quite a small space, to take out that overwhelming aspect of feeling like you have so many options to consider. Our curated collection of gowns and separates means you can see absolutely everything without feeling bombarded or like you’ve missed anything either. Each style has also been chosen because they explore entirely different styling options, so you have the room to play around and really dig deep into what it is you’re searching for.

How do you want people to feel when they visit your store?

All I want for the brides visiting us is to feel at home. We’re entirely at your disposal to help navigate your search with you and offer as much or as little guidance as you feel you may need. Every dress-fitting is a lesson, whether you find the dress or not. So, all I want for our brides is to leave us feeling like they’ve delved a little deeper into finding what they want and had a gorgeous time whilst doing so.

Looking back since launching the brand, is there anything you would do differently?

I think I would have a lot more faith in my convictions. Starting out in a new industry is incredibly daunting, but it shouldn’t be a point for you to doubt your own ability and worth.

Our readers love to travel, what destination is at the top of your bucket list?

Travel is honestly one of my greatest joys in life. For me, it has to be Costa Rica.

Running a business can be non-stop, what do you do to switch off?

It’s a bit of a wild card, but I love going to the cinema. I’m a huge movie buff as it is, but being in the cinema removes any ability for me to go on my phone or pull out my laptop. Even if I dedicate a night off at home, you can guarantee I’ll have a sneaky peek at my emails. So, if I need a second, you’ll find me at the cinema.

What does self care mean to you?

Self care is so multi-faceted because it really does extend across mind, body and soul. Pause is hugely important to me, but can be quite difficult to define and execute. On a basic level, it’s taking the time to reset and rest. So that can be just an early night, a comfort movie and a face mask. On a deeper level, it’s thinking about long term changes to preserve my peace independent of work and my relationship with others.

In five years from now, where do you see the brand?

In five years from now, I’d love to be able to draw on a portfolio of brides who celebrated their love all over the world. I hope we’ll be in the position to grow, continuing to work with our beautiful designers and having gained some new, exciting additions on the way.

Before the wedding day, various events take place. One of the most popular ones is the bridal shower. A bridal shower is a party hosted by the maid of honor, bridesmaids, and close friends where people spend time with the bride, playing games, eating, giving gifts, and everything fun you can think of. The party happens some weeks before the wedding day, and only the people who are invited to the wedding are invited to the party. The following is a list of dos and don’ts when planning a bridal shower.

Pick a Date Far from the Wedding

It is advisable not to pick a date close to the wedding day. Instead, host the bridal shower weeks or months before the big day. Make sure you choose a date everyone will be comfortable with and available for the party.

Invite the Guests

Start by creating a guest list. You must remember not to invite people who have not been invited to the wedding. You can work with the bride to choose the people she would like to attend. After that, send the invitations in advance so that people can prepare and those from far can travel.

Dress the Part

The bridal shower gives you a moment to dress up. So, pick your favorite dress and rock it during this day. However, you don’t need to overdress. You can check the prom dresses line-up to pick something beautiful for the bridal shower. You can also choose an outfit you can wear for lunch. While dressing up, you ought to remember that the bride is the center of attention the whole time.

Plan the Activities

The bridal party is all about doing fun things like playing games and other fun activities. Confirming the party will be exciting by choosing various fun activities is crucial. Consider the people coming and choose activities you know they will love.

Have a Menu

There should also be a lot of food and drinks at the bridal party. However, the food choice will depend on the time of the party. Since most bridal parties happen during the day, you can create a brunch or lunch menu. Adding pastries and eggs to the menu will be a good thing if it is in the morning. Check what the bride prefers. You can also ask your guests about any food they are allergic to or restricted to.

Work on Décor

If you have a theme, choosing the décor that goes well with the theme can be easy. Make the place beautiful, and don’t forget to ask what the bride wants. Some things like a spa day, tea party, or a getaway can be great themes for a bridal shower.

Don’t Post Everything on Social Media

Before you post anything related to the bridal shower, ensure the bride will not have an issue with it. Some brides don’t like posting everything about their wedding on social media. It could lead to various issues, especially if the bride invited a few people only.

Don’t Refuse Help Planning

If you are the maid of honor, don’t feel like you are the only one responsible for planning the party. Instead, allow other people like the bridesmaids and close friends to help. In fact, the maid of honor and bridesmaids are responsible for planning and hosting a bridal shower. So, ask for help and allow others to lend a hand.

Don’t Give Sexy Gifts at the Party

Anyone can attend the bridal shower. The parents will be there, the bridegroom and his men, etc. So, avoid giving raunchy gifts while looking for ideal bridal shower gifts. Instead, if you have sexy underwear you want to give the bride, wait until the bachelorette party. This way, you will not make the people at the bridal shower uncomfortable.

Don’t Confuse the Party with a Bachelorette Party

One thing you must know when planning a bridal shower is that the party is different from a bachelorette party. While a bridal shower happens during the day, a bachelorette party happens at night and tends to be more intense than a bridal shower. In most cases, only girls go to a bachelorette party to celebrate the bride-to-be before she gets married.

Don’t Invite People Who Are Not on the Wedding List

One may feel awkward about being invited to the bridal shower, not the wedding. Therefore, work with the bride to choose the people to invite from the main wedding guest list.

Summary

We hope this list has helped you know the dos and don’ts when hosting a bridal shower. Make the party fun by planning activities and providing plenty of food. Ensure everyone invited will come by sending your invitations in advance.

Love is an important part of our lives today and you should count yourself lucky if you find the right person to marry. Before planning out your engagement party, you need to find a way to make the person of your dreams happy and improve your chances of getting a yes to your proposal. The best route to take is to purchase top-quality engagement rings white gold from reliable jewelers near you or online. You will however have to finesse your purchase approach to get the best authentic engagement ring for your spouse. Here is a list of things you are not supposed to do when targeting to be successful in your engagement ring shopping.

Settling for the cheapest options

Not setting the right budget or choosing to purchase a cheap engagement ring is also yet another blunder people make that affects the quality of the engagement party when proposing. The only way to show her or him that you care for them is to set a worthwhile budget that would get you some of the modern trendy customized ring options. Start by doing your research via the internet and local stores to determine the current price tags for the assortment of ring designs you have on your shortlist. The costlier the ring you purchase, the better impression you are likely to make during your proposal.

Failure to do proper research

A lot of factors go into engagement ring shopping more than one may know. It combines both your finances and emotions to identify just the right options to scrutinize before purchase. If you want a diamond engagement ring, research how to identify quality rocks by understanding the 4Cs of diamonds. The internet is just one of the resources you can use, however local jeweler should help you make the right call. Showing up to an engagement event with a fake rick ring can not only make you look cheap but could also affect the kind of response that you will get from your spouse.

Poor choice of store to shop from

There are many stores both brick-and-mortar and online-based that you can shop for your engagement ring. You can easily be ripped off when you fail to invest quality time in choosing the store to buy your ring from. Assess reputation, quality of rings on display, availability of top quality original polished rocks like diamonds, and most importantly the kind of reputation that precedes them. It is this type of scrutiny that will save you from working with frauds who will take advantage of you and run with your money.

Not determining the taste of your spouse

Have you found the kind of rings your spouse may be into? Having dated them for long enough, one should have determined long ago the size, type, and style of ring that might brighten their moods. This calls for proper investigation before you start shopping for the ring, however you should not make it obvious for them to get a clue about your plans. Remember that proposals have to be a secret and so are the choice of rings and the date when everything will be done.

Getting the wrong ring size

You do not want to get a ring for your spouse only to find out that it does not fit on their fingers. Your spouse expects you to get this right even if that will mean measuring the girth of their finger privately. You should not make it obvious that you are getting them an engagement ring. Some have fashion rings they own, why not get measurements of one before setting out to make your order. Ring resizing can be done, however this is yet another bother you could have avoided.

You couldn’t be happier to be engaged to the love of your life and are eager to start a life together. Everything feels so surreal, and you are counting down the months till you can say “I do” to your significant other. However, planning a wedding is not a walk in the park. There are numerous moving parts that need to work harmoniously for your big day to be a success. This article will give you a step-by-step guide to planning your big day.

Set your wedding budget

Budgeting is one of the most challenging tasks when planning a wedding. However, it is a necessary task that you need to get out of the way to avoid hiccups, such as falling in love with a venue that you cannot afford. Organize a meeting with your wedding committee, parents, and key contributors, formulate a budget and jot down how much each vendor and service will cost.

Draft a guest list

Your budget will dictate how many people you can comfortably invite to your wedding ceremony. However, you might not have the final guest list till later in the planning process. It is also important to note that your guest list will influence your chosen venue.

Get your wedding rings

The most essential accessory you wear on your wedding day is your wedding ring. You will also wear them for the rest of your days together, so it is crucial to get them right. You could get custom wedding rings that fit perfectly with a touch of personality. For instance, you could get a ring with a design like say a solitaire, halo, hidden halo, or perhaps solitaires with accents. Take your pick and provide your loved one with something memorable.

Decide on the dates

It would be best to consider potential wedding dates before you start hunting for a venue. First and foremost, consider the season you would like to get hitched. We also suggest you consider whether you are open to getting married during the off-peak season when the prices are cheaper. When planning your wedding date, think about work schedules, school programs, and holidays.

Select an appropriate venue

After you are satisfied with your budget and guest list and have decided on the wedding date, selecting a venue would be next. We advise you to visit the place in person to get a feel of the venue and start visualizing how you would like the setup. It would also be wise to carefully read the venue’s contract and rules before signing on the dotted line.

Book vendors in advance

The professionals you hire will determine whether your big day will be a success or a big flop. On average, you will need about 13 vendors, including caterers, wedding photographers, and DJs, to ensure everything runs smoothly. It would be wise to identify and book the vendors in advance to avoid the last-minute rush or finding out one vendor has another event to attend.

Wrapping up

That’s it about planning your wedding. Remember, you can’t do it all on your own. So, delegate some of the duties to your friends and family, so you do not feel too overwhelmed. They will most likely be ecstatic to help bring your dream wedding to life. We hope the guidelines in this article have been insightful.

Your wedding is one of the most special days of your life, so you definitely want it to be unforgettable. Even though each culture has its own traditions at weddings, you can always customize yours the way you want, and people will still enjoy it.

It is the day you get to celebrate your union with the love of your life and share that joy with your friends and family, which means that it needs to reflect your and your significant other’s personality and love. Since this day marks the first day of your happily ever after, here’s how to create an unforgettable wedding you’ll cherish forever.

Pick the Venue You Both Fall in Love With

Whether you choose to have your wedding at a fancy hall, in a simple garden, or at the beach, it’s how you feel about the place that’s the most important part. You and your partner need to feel this unexplainable spark about the venue you choose. When the place is right, you’ll both just know it. You can both see yourselves starting your life together there.

Picking the right venue will help you start planning the rest of your wedding. You’ll be able to picture the decorations you want and the setting of the ceremony and celebration.

Hire a Talented Photographer

Pictures and videos are some of the most important parts of a wedding. They’re what keeps your wedding day alive forever, no matter how long it’s been. They’re also the perfect way to look back and remember this beautiful day and rekindle the love you and your partner have for each other, not that it will need rekindling, but it’s nice to fire up the magic by looking at pictures or watching videos from your wedding.

If you live in Perth, Australia, then you’re lucky to be in such a beautiful city, that has some of the most beautiful sceneries in the world. If you’re having your wedding at any of the gorgeous beaches there, you’ll need the most artistic photography and video services in Perth to capture the breathtaking scenery and take artistic pictures and videos of you and your partner, as well as your guests. You can keep some photos in a photo album, and have some framed and hung on your walls or placed on your shelves.

Have a Band Instead of a DJ

There’s a magical, artistic feel to having people play live music at a wedding than a DJ playing songs through loudspeakers. Just seeing people playing instruments is a beautiful sight, let alone listening to the beautiful, harmonic tunes coming out of the instruments, creating a wonderful symphony.

Another great thing about having a band is that they can play the songs you want in the tempo you prefer. They can change the beat and add an artistic, creative touch to different songs that will make your day even more special. You may also grab the mic and sing one of the songs with your partner, or have a little karaoke party as part of your celebration.

Set Up a Photo Booth

Friendly, funny pictures are some of the most valuable treasures that people keep to always remember the most cherished moments in their lives. Weddings are usually a little formal, but it’s a great idea to have some quirky props that you, your partner, and your friends and family members can use to take some fun snaps at a photo booth. Sometimes these crazy pictures end up being the most wonderful parts of the wedding.

Have an Artist Paint at the Wedding

Support your artist friends or any local artists you know by letting them help you add another extremely special feature to your wedding by painting sceneries and moments from the ceremony. Wouldn’t it be perfect to have some masterpieces of art from the wedding to hang at your house? You can choose the artistic style you like.

Add Some Pop Colors and Styles with Neon Signs

You can choose the colors, fonts, and sizes you like, create the most amazing signs to decorate your venue, and also take memorable pictures. The sign can be anything, from one word to your and your partner’s names, to a special quote that means something to you both, or basically anything of your choice. It would be one of the best parts of your wedding that you will always remember, especially if you choose a sign that reflects something about you and your partner’s characters.

It’s important to consider the happiness and comfort of your guests when you set up your wedding because after all, these guests are the friends you love most and your family members who love you unconditionally. Make it a day that no one will ever forget by putting your heart into every little detail about that day. Enjoy a wonderful wedding and a beautiful life with the person you’ve chosen to share it with.

Wedding planning can be exciting and stressful at the same time. There are so many small details to coordinate, and many of them can become overwhelming. However, while planning a wedding can be a lot of work, it all really comes down to figuring out what you want. You can make your wedding a day you’ll never forget if you plan it carefully. This post will cover six vital things to keep in mind.

Plan The Playlist

Music is one of the most significant factors in any wedding. Some couples choose to have a live band, while others opt for a DJ. It is crucial to select the right music to suit the couple and their guests when planning a wedding. Moreover, wedding songs are those that appeal to a broad audience and set the tone of the event. Therefore you should choose wisely. Although it can seem like a daunting task to find music that appeals to everyone, there are some steps you can take that will make the process more manageable:

  • Work together: Wedding planning is a highly stressful event, but by combining resources with your future spouse, you can divide the amount of effort it takes to accomplish specific tasks. Creating a playlist is one of those tasks. You should make time to sit together and discuss what music you both agree on and which will be most appropriate for the occasion.
  • Choose a DJ or band: In the same way that a photographer can make or break your wedding, so can the band or DJ. Therefore, you should select them carefully and discuss your options.
  • Ensure you have a mixture of tunes: While this might be your big day, you need to understand that you will have guests. Therefore, no matter how much you might want to put “Marry You” by Bruno Mars on repeat, your guests might be overjoyed!
  • Try to blend the music with your theme: If you have chosen a theme for your ceremony (more on that later), you might consider selecting the tunes based on that particular motif.
  • Ensure the music matches each step: Weddings contain several different stages, and you should ensure that the music matches each step.

Hire A Professional Photographer

One of the most important decisions you’ll have to make for your big day is choosing your wedding photographer. You want to make sure that you have someone who will capture the best moments and present them to you in a memorable way. Some couples choose a professional wedding photographer, while others opt for a friend or colleague. However, unless your friend is a professional, it is often best to hire someone with experience. Wedding photography is a challenging discipline, and you need to go with someone who has extensive experience and brings along an assistant to capture backups. Nevertheless, the decision comes down to personal preference, but there are some factors that both parties should consider before making their decision:

  • What type of photography do you prefer?
  • What are your shooting style preferences?
  • What kind of images do you want?
  • How much time do you have available?
  • How much money are you willing to spend on the event?

Furthermore, many couples now can choose multi-discipline photographers who can also provide them with a movie of the ceremony and reception.

Choose The Venue Wisely

The venue can play a significant role in the experience of a wedding. For example, suppose you’re planning on having an outdoor wedding. In that case, you will need to factor in various variables that an indoor event doesn’t require, such as the weather forecast and contingency plans. Nonetheless, there are several factors that you should consider regardless of whether it is indoor or outdoor, including:

  • Location: The location of your event should be easily accessible for the largest number of guests. If it is too challenging to get there, you might find that many simply choose not to come, which can ruin your day.
  • Size: Check-in advance if your chosen location can accommodate the number of people you have invited. Too large, and you will lose the intimacy, but too small, you could find yourself dealing with issues you don’t need on the big day.
  • Budget: Everything you want to do for your wedding will be influenced by your budget, none more so than the location. Ensure that you have an ample budget to select the perfect venue.
  • Availability: Before sending out the invitations, you must check if your first choice is available. Wedding venues that are in high demand tend to fill up quickly, so you should book early.

Select A Caterer You Trust

Every bride wants to have the perfect wedding, which is why it is crucial to choose a great caterer for your special day. You want to be sure that they are professional, have a good reputation, and can provide all the food and services you need for your big day. They will be responsible for everything from the cake to the reception meals and everything in between related to food. It will be up to you to discuss what you want and if they can accommodate a range of dietary requirements that your guests might have.

Decide On A Theme

While most couples opt for a traditional wedding, you might consider making yours more memorable by creating a themed wedding. A themed wedding is a wedding that is put together with different styles and themes and is not just about the theme or style of it but also about what you want your guests to experience. You need to decide how much commitment to your chosen theme you are willing to make before planning a themed wedding. Even if you don’t want to go to extremes, you can still include a touch of the theme in some aspects of your wedding, such as the catering and decor.

Allocate A Decent Budget To Everything

The budget for a wedding can vary from couple to couple and from region to region. Nevertheless, the most important thing is to set an appropriate budget for your wedding. Establishing a budget will help manage expenses, keep track of what has been spent, and ensure that all the money is used efficiently. Additionally, you should set aside a contingency fund to ensure things go smoothly even when things don’t go as planned.

The most important thing about planning a wedding is knowing what you want. As long as you have allocated a large enough budget and plenty of time, everything should go more smoothly than you expected.

‍Photos are the ultimate reminders of your special day when it comes to visual memories. They’ll not only share the experience with friends and family but also provide you with a sense of nostalgia every time you look at them. There are so many ways you can display your wedding photos.

Here are some ideas on how to showcase your photos at home.

  1. Create a Photo Book

If you and your partner are big fans of photo books, there’s no better way to showcase your wedding photos than turning them into a beautiful, custom-made book. There’s nothing comparable to the emotion and sense of accomplishment you’ll experience when you see the prints’ memories come to life.

Alongside the dozens of other customizations you can select, you can even choose a cover that perfectly suits your style and reflects your wedding theme. If you’re looking for a unique way to display your wedding photos, a photo book is an excellent way.

You can find hundreds of options on websites including a range of layouts and paper types.

  1. Digital Prints

Like creating a photo book, you can also choose from various sizes and paper types, along with borders, pages, and other customizations to ensure your prints are beautiful and functional.

Moreover, you can also turn to online printing services like Shutterfly or Snapfish to help you get these prints made more efficiently. This is a convenient way to create a range of prints that can be displayed both at home and in public spaces.

  1. Collage

You can find many DIY collage kits that are easy to use and include various materials, including decorative paper and adhesive. The kits come with detailed instructions on putting together your collage, making them an easy and fun way to create a beautiful and personalized display. You can also turn to online services like Canva or VSCO to help you create a custom collage.

These services allow you to create a collage by mixing and matching images, text, and colors to create a beautiful and personalized collage. Once you’ve created your collage, you can proudly display it in your home to share your wedding day with friends, family, and future generations.

  1. Stunning Canvas Artwork

If you haven’t considered canvas artwork as a way to display your wedding photos, you’re missing out. These prints are more than just a piece of wall art; they’re a way to showcase your memories and share your wedding day with friends and family.

You can find a huge range of customizable canvas art options, including a range of themes, sizes, and styles to allow you to find the perfect option for displaying your photos.

  1. Hang Your Photos on the Wall

There are many ways to display your wedding photos, and one of the most traditional is hanging them on the walls of your home. You can find a range of wall mounts that are both decorative and functional, allowing you to hang your photos on the walls of your home easily.

If you choose to place your wedding photos on the walls of your home, ensure they are mounted straight against the wall so they do not hang too far down or too close together.

Another thing you can do to display your wedding photos on the walls of your home is to use frames. You can find a large range of traditional and modern frames, allowing you to find a style that suits your home.

  1. Use Photo Albums

Another way to display your wedding photos is by placing them in photo albums that you can then keep on display in your home. You can use photo albums to showcase individual images or as part of a collection that tells the story of your wedding day.

You should choose both functional and decorative albums so they do not detract from other elements on display in your home and add something unique. You should also consider whether or not you want guest books next to the album, so guests at your wedding have somewhere to sign after viewing their photos during the reception.

No matter which option you choose, it is important that your wedding photos are displayed in a way that everyone can enjoy them. You can use a combination of options to showcase your wedding photos and tell the story of your day. If you store them properly, they will last for many years.

Are you getting married soon and looking for some interesting ideas to make your wedding stand out? If so, you’ve come to the right place. In this blog post, we will discuss six unique ideas that you can use to make your wedding unforgettable. Whether you’re looking for something fun and different or something more elegant and traditional, we have got you covered. So without further ado, let’s get started.

Create a Gift Registry

Gone are the days when couples would ask for gifts like toasters and blenders. These days, many couples are opting to create gift registries where guests can contribute towards their honeymoon fund or help them buy a new home. Several websites allow you to create an online gift registry to make things easier for your guests. This is a great way to ensure that you get what you want while also allowing your guests to feel like they are contributing in a meaningful way.

When creating a gift registry, include a mix of items at different price points to accommodate guests with different budgets. Trends change. 2022 is about all themed weddings, virtual save-the-dress, open-air tents, family-style meals, and much more. But one thing stays an integral part of weddings, and for a good reason. Not only are they pretty, but they also allow you to express your style and creativity. While the use of flowers at a wedding goes back to the Roman era where brides used to adorn garlands, using them symbolizes new beginnings and happiness. When selecting your wedding flowers to make your D-Day feel momentous, it’s crucial to collaborate closely with your chosen wedding florist to bring your floral vision to life.

However, knowing everything about flowers for weddings isn’t possible for everyone. After all, you are no botanic expert. If you are all set to pick the right florals for your wedding, these tips will get you to speed to make your D-day momentous.

Let’s get started!

Look for floral inspiration

Before starting with the shopping, you need to look for themes or inspirations that you would like to be a part of your big day. Having snapshots of what you want will allow you to create a replica or something close. It will feel like an inspiration board. This will help you communicate about the centerpiece or archway. And make modifications and add substitutions to create an arrangement.

Make sure you keep in mind your bridesmaid dress fabric, your wedding gown colors, and sequences while deciding about the flowers for the wedding bouquet and other floral arrangements. Otherwise, it will feel like a deconstructed vibe. This brings us to the critical tip to make your D-day feel momentous.

Create a wedding flowers budget

You must know that around 10% of the total wedding cost will go to florals and decor like bouquets, boutonnieres, cocktail hour, and reception details. This is why you must put a budget on the table. For instance, you can begin with “What great things you can achieve with $……..?” Make sure you talk about the flowers within your budget to not overspend.

Look for the average cost of wedding flowers and see the options available and alternatives to narrow your search. For example, a wedding flower budget can go anywhere from around $1500 to $5000. But it can also go up to $12k to $20k, depending on your location. Some professionals say that some might even go up to $80k. However, it can go down considerably if you choose sola wood flowers for weddings.

Make sure you keep some budget for last-minute design changes or floral requirements.

Pick the right flowers

The best advice when it comes to choosing wedding flowers is that they must align with your budget. While you might love beautiful, delicate, and stunning arches of flowers, you need to cut back on the budget. Look for options that are better valued for money. Wedding bouquets from Ling’s Moment as well as bridesmaid bouquets flowers are a great option, not only are they high quality and stunning, but they don’t cost a fortune either. Plus, you get a discount on your first order.

Besides that, be specific about what you like. Is it roses, lilies, or something else? Think about your style and the colors you wish to add to your theme wedding. Do you want to give it a modern feel or want to make it casual?

You might believe that when you say “wedding bouquet flowers,” you have to go for the natural blooms. Honestly, if you have a lot of money, you can think like that. But if you want to add boutonnieres, corsages, and other floral arrangements, why not opt for sola wood wedding flowers. Yes, you can go for sola wood wedding bouquets, boutonnieres, and other options that will last forever.

Who said you should only capture your “I dos” moments on camera? Sola wood wedding flowers can easily stay with you in the form of display at your home once your D-day is over.

Choosing the right florist

Before you begin your search for the right florist, look for your friends and family recommendations. If you have a wedding planner or coordinator, you can look for suggestions. But if you have none, why depend only on area florists? You can also try online to find the best places that deliver floral arrangements and wedding-friendly products to help you craft everything you need for your special day.

This is because florists book up quickly. But with online options, you can easily vet them and find the options according to your wedding timeline. The best part of choosing Sola Wood wedding flowers is that you don’t have to set up the delivery five to eight months before your wedding. You can quite easily select options or customize them according to the theme of your wedding.

Conclusion

Your choice of wedding flowers will transform your wedding day into a magnificent one. Whether you choose something modern, classic, or extravagant bright pops, make sure it aligns with the overall style of your wedding. Consider your wedding a blank canvas.
