Steak and chophouse favourite, Blacklock, have launched a brand new menu available for delivery across London, bringing a restaurant level experience to your home. Renowned for their high quality dry-aged meat and whole animal approach, value and inimitable atmosphere, the new delivery-exclusive menu will offer ‘Blacklockers’ all-new provisions that enjoy a little travel, including chicken for the first time in Blacklock history!

From 5th March, lucky residents of Shoreditch, and the surrounding local area, can enjoy a selection of the very best grass-fed meat from Blacklock’s award-winning Cornish farmer and butcher, Philip Warren, all cooked over charcoal and delivered hot to your door.
Households around Battersea and Wandsworth need not wait long, as from 12th March, delivery will be expanding to the area, followed by North of the river in Wood Green in early April, and Camden soon after. The menu has been carefully thought out to ensure dishes arrive as they leave the kitchen – hot and delicious. From increasing the thickness of their lamb and pork chops to ensure a better journey, to extensive research into the perfect packaging, no stone has been left unturned.

Reared to the highest welfare standards on a family-run farm in Devon, Blacklock’s free-range chickens live longer happier lives, resulting in a much bigger bird and are available in quarter, half (perfect for two), or whole (to feed the entire family) portions. The
menu includes a range of brand-new sides like Giant Caesar and their Mac n Four Cheeses. Not forgetting the all-important selection of sauces including; Roast Chicken and Anchovy Gravy whilst the restaurant staples, Chop Sauce and Blacklock Gravy, couldn’t not make the cut. Blacklock and Philip Warren’s commitment to low-input, sustainable farming methods can be seen throughout the menu, with a range of dishes that make use of the whole animal such as Pig’s Head Buns with gravy for dipping, and the Blacklock Burger – a double cheeseburger with Ogleshield and onions caramelised in a healthy glug of vermouth. Of course, it wouldn’t be the Blacklock experience without Granny’s White Chocolate Cheesecake to finish, or their new pudding additions – Terry’s Chocolate Orange Doughnuts and a Negroni Ice Cream Sandwich in collaboration with soft serve experts, Happy Endings. The drinks list features Blacklock Beers brewed with Harbour Brew Co. in Cornwall, bottled cocktails including Old Fashioned and Seasonal Negroni, and their canned ‘Table Wine’ by The Curator, available in both red and white.

With sustainability at the heart of Blacklock’s ethos, their ‘Planet Promise’, in partnership with Ecologi, will continue to see a tree planted for every Blacklock at Home order placed, an initiative launched in lockdown, which has so far seen over 9000 trees planted in Blacklock Forest. All of Blacklock’s packaging is compostable or recyclable, with most of it made from sugar cane. Blacklock Founder, Gordon Ker commented, “Like everyone in Hospitality, the last year has been a massive challenge for us, but we continue to look for silver linings and ways to support our incredible suppliers, building new opportunities for our team, while offering our guests something completely new. We’re excited to deliver not only delicious hot food, but genuine hospitality and a first-class Blacklock experience to your home.”

About Blacklock
Blacklock opened in an old basement brothel on Great Windmill Street in Soho in 2015. Set up by Gordon Ker, Blacklock offers incredible quality meat and drinks at unbeatable prices with an obsessive focus on passionate hospitality from a team that genuinely cares. Working with the best suppliers around, including Philip Warren, the family-run traditional farmers and butchers based in Cornwall, Blacklock is the place for the very best chops, steaks and other meaty treats, a Sunday Roast that’s almost as good as Mum’s, all washed down with cocktails for a fiver and litres of wine on tap. A second restaurant, Blacklock City, opened in 2017 and the latest member of the family, Blacklock Shoreditch on Rivington Street, opened its doors in 2018. Last year the team launched Blacklock At Home experiences, from All In through to the award-winning Sunday Roast, available for delivery nationwide.
Gordon and the team will open their fourth Blacklock restaurant in Covent Garden later this year.
