Known for his excellent portrayal of some of the best American fictional characters: Bruce Wayne in Batman and Patrick Bateman in American Psycho, Christian Bale is about to take on the role of the genius American behind Apple’s success – Steve Jobs. The Sony biopic is based on Walter Isaacson’s biography “Steve Jobs” and will be directed by Danny Boyle, famous for Slumdog Millionaire.
Jobs is set to be divided up by three long scenes, each taking place backstage before one of Apple’s infamous product launches. The first to be written about the Mac, followed by NeXt, ending with the iPod. Sony acquired the rights after Steve Jobs’ death in 2011.
Filming will take place next year, with rumours that Oscar winning Bale will film Jobs in the Spring, following up with The Deep Blue Goodbye.
