We all have our own routine when it comes to skincare, we often just add a little moisturiser and head out the door, on other occasions we spend more time in the morning doing a cleanse, tone, and moisturise, and very occasionally we do the whole 7-step skincare routine that involves using a pre-cleanser, serum, eye cream and lip balm alongside the traditional cleanser, toner, and moisturiser.

Like all women and men who take care of their skin, #TeamCoco rarely take time to do the full 7-step skincare regime, but when we do, it’s like we’ve been for a relaxing and toning facial. So, what are you waiting for? Get your skincare products out and enjoy an evening in with just you, your bathroom mirror, and lots of gorgeous products.

We have compiled a list of a few of our favourite skincare products to assist with your 7-step skincare guide.

Pre-Cleanser / Make-up Remover

Using a pre-cleanser or a good makeup remover is essential to get your skin ready for the full skincare routine and helps to remove the top layer of makeup along with general dirt from the day’s elements.

Kind Natured Hydrating Micellar Cleansing Gel, priced at £8 (150ml), available from www.kindnatured.com or www.boots.com

Cleanser

Using a second cleanser is excellent for getting deeper under the layers of ingrained makeup, it can help to remove unwanted oils, and will also give a deep cleanse.

Clockface Beauty Facial Cleansing Balm, priced at £32 (120ml), available from www.clockfacebeauty.com

Toner

A toner will cool the face, and it will correct and balance the pH of your skin. A good toner can also help to close pores and fully clean the pores, resulting in little to no acne.

Alteya Organics Hydrating Flower Toner in Rose & Mullein, priced at £13 (120ml), available from www.lovelula.com

Serum

Using a serum straight after a toner will offer your skin valuable moisture, which in turn will give a firmer appearance and a smoother texture. A serum may even help to minimise pores.

Jane Scrivner Bioluronic Buzz, priced at £32 (50mg), available from www.janescrivner.com

Moisturiser

A moisturiser will not only prevent your skin from drying out throughout the day or night, but it will keep your natural waters and natural oils (that are good for your skin) within your skin’s surface.

Embryolisse Lait-Crème Concentré Nourishing Moisturiser, priced at £20 (75ml), available from www.boots.co.uk or www.selfridges.com

Eye Cream

Using an eye cream on the delicate skin around the eye can help to slow the appearance of fine lines and even wrinkles, and it can also remove puffiness and dark circles from under the eye.

111SKIN was founded by Dr Yannis Alexandrides, a cosmetic surgeon who specialises in facial surgery, he also specialises in non-surgical procedures and looked to produce his own skincare products, the result is the brand 111SKIN.

111SKIN Sub-Zero De-Puffing Eye Duo, priced at £75 (20ml), available from www.111skin.co.uk or www.harrods.com

Lip Balm

We think of using a lip balm when our lips feel chapped, sore, or dry, but if you add a lip balm into your skincare routine you won’t regret it. A lip balm will hydrate, nourish, and seal in moisture to the most exposed part of your body. A perfect end to your 7-step skincare routine.

Lancôme Absolute Precious Cells Silky Lip Balm, priced at £43 (15ml), available from www.lancome.co.uk or www.harveynichols.com
