Here at House of Coco we love a good festival, some members of #TeamCoco more than others. Whilst some of us are happy to get knee deep in mud, some of us prefer the finer things in life. So, thanks to Victoria Gate Casino and the impending Glastonbury festival, we can have the best of both world.

While welly-clad festival goers stream into Worthy Farm for the annual music extravaganza, the £30m super casino will screen live music from Glastonbury’s Pyramid stage, including performances from Ed Sheeran, Radiohead and Leeds favourite the Kaiser Chiefs, on Live Bar’s giant TV – the largest indoor screen in Leeds.

Pitching up from the 23rd – 25th June, the Summer of 2017 Festival is the latest in an exciting line-up of summer events at the venue.

As artists exit the stage, crowds at the casino will be treated to live open-mic performances by Leeds singer-songwriter Micky Johnson, as well as a DJ set by Byron Lee. For festival-foodies there will be a hotdog stand, ice creams and free popcorn throughout the weekend, all washed down with a Happy Hour every day and a 2 for £10 cocktail offer.

Leanne McKenna, Head of Marketing and Customer Experience at Victoria Gate Casino, said: “Music-lovers don’t have to venture all the way to Somerset for a taste of Glastonbury atmosphere as we host our very own Summer of 2017 Festival. If you’re not one of the lucky 175,000 who got a Glastonbury ticket, don’t worry! We’re offering the best view of the Pyramid Stage from the comfort of Live Bar, as well as live music, DJs and other fun and games.

“The Summer of 2017 Festival is the latest event in our jam-packed calendar of summer activities, which includes weekly live entertainment, a new summer food and drink menu, plus all of the live action on the biggest viewing screen in Leeds including the British and Irish Lions, York Races, Royal Ascot, cricket from Headingley, and Wimbledon.”

With a capacity of 1,400, Victoria Gate Casino is one of the biggest entertainment venues in the city, with 2 bars, a 60-seat restaurant, 24 live gaming tables, 140 slot machines and 75 electronic gaming terminals.

The venue, which is the first and only ‘super casino’ in the North, occupies a 50,000 sq ft site and sits alongside John Lewis at the city’s new Victoria Gate development.
