We loved discovering the mini calisthenics gym and the mini acro-park, which added a playful, unexpected twist to exploring the grounds. It’s the kind of place where you go out for a short stroll and accidentally spend an hour outside soaking up the calm.

The food
Dinner at the 1705 Restaurant & Bar was a highlight. We shared a charcuterie platter and followed it with the minted lamb special — comforting, flavourful and perfect after a day outdoors.
The service was exceptional from start to finish. Charlie was treated like a VIP and presented with a bowl of freshly grilled chicken breast, which he inhaled in record time.
The team even created a vegan chocolate tartlette specially to cater to my dietary requirements — a thoughtful gesture that perfectly summed up the attention to detail throughout our stay.
Charlie was welcome in the bar area too, alongside several other happy dogs, reinforcing why this is one of the best dogfriendly hotels we’ve visited.
Dog friendliness continued into the morning. The team reserved a special seating area just outside Beaumont Restaurant so Charlie could join us for breakfast comfortably.

We found crisps, sweets, chocolates and plenty of tempting treats — perfect for post-dinner cravings or movie-night munchies. It’s such a fun and thoughtful touch that adds to the relaxed, home-from-home feel.
