Designer Spotlight : Adorn by Boutique

Adorn by Boutique combines glamour with creative style offering handmade statement jewellery & accessories. House of Coco went behind the brand to find out more…

When did you launch the brand and what was the reason behind it?
I launched Adorn by Boutique in 2013. The growing trends in statement accessories related to me. The brand grew from my love of the concept of being able to enhance any outfit simply and invariably.

What’s your background?
My professional background hasn’t been specifically fashion related more business support based. Personally accessories and stand out pieces have always appealed to me.

How many people are involved in the company and what are their roles?
Adorn by Boutique is run solely by myself

If you could start over with the business, would you do anything differently?
No, every part of it so far has been a learning process, which has resulted in the growth and positive direction of the brand.

What is the hardest challenge you have faced since you started the company?
Balancing personal creative tastes with popular trends was always the hardest challenge. Along the way, maintaining confidence in the pieces and designs that I appealed to me has worked has worked out well.

Tell us one fact about you that people wouldn’t know?
I only wear different shades of red nail varnish, this is for no particular reason it just worked out that way. The funniest thing is red is my least favourite colour!

2015 is here, where do you plan on taking the brand?
I will continue promoting the awareness of the brand- pop up shops/markets/stands. The bespoke custom clutches/sets have received interest so this will also be expanded on for 2015

To date what has been the highlight since launching?
Seeing women with different fashion tastes and styles wearing my pieces and looking amazing continues to be a highlight. It shows the power accessories can have on an outfit.
