Designer Spotlight : Carol Bruton

Carol Bruton is an artist who swims in the sea throughout the year and it is the images that she sees floating on the surface of the water that  provide the inspiration for her most recent work.

When did you launch the brand and what was the reason behind it?
I launched my artwork 30 years ago in order to meet the demands of my clients

What is your background?
Growing up in Spain, I started painting the white stucco villages  by mixing the dry sand and lime dust with oil paint.  I went on to study art at the Belles Artes in Madrid and then to exhibit in New York, London, Monaco and Paris.

If you could start over with the business, would you do anything differently?
I would keep a track of all the people who have adored my artwork!

What is the hardest challenge you have faced since you started the company?
Following up on all the leads that are presented to me

Tell us one fact about you that people wouldn’t know?
I am very shy

2016 is here, where do you plan on taking the brand?
I am using the force of publicity to expand my brand

To date, what has been the highlight since launching?
Exhibiting at Art basel, Miami

Which city do you feel most at home in, London, Paris or New York
Definitely London

Coconut oil, the eyebrow enhancer and Dior bb crème

Being impeccable with your accessories

The sheer volume of art events, galleries and the buzz around art in general
