Here, she chats to us at House of Coco and tells us more…

When did you launch the brand and what was the reason behind it?
The first collection was launched in March 2018 and it’s called Snaketric as it combines two opposite types of forms: anthropomorphic sinuosity and minimal, edgy geometry.

The reason behind it was to design small architectures which I could wear every day.

My creations try to blend the magic of architecture with the world of jewellery, all the while incorporating diverse influences and inspirations: from art, nature, tribal traditions and the adornments of ancient civilisations. By fusing technology and tradition, my intention is to blend the past and the future into a distinct version of the present.

What’s your background?
I am an Italian Architect, who Graduated in Architecture (summa cum laude) in Florence, and now I live and work in London. After developing an unconditional love for drawing jewels, I attended courses at Central Saint Martins to gain a better understanding of jewellery, and the techniques involved in creating it.

How many people are involved in the company and what are their roles?
I am the sole owner and the Creative Director of the business but I have a team of expert consultants whom I work with.

If you could start over with the business, would you do anything differently?
I would probably appoint a PR, for helping me in marketing and brand development.

I am a creative person, so not skilled in self-promotion. It was tough for me.

What is the hardest challenge you have faced since you started the company?
Working as an Architect and at the same time investing time and money in something completely new for me, trying to cover any aspect of it by myself. I started with a tight budget because I didn’t want to ask for financial help to anybody.

Tell us one fact about you that people wouldn’t know?
I am often impulsive in life but when it comes to business I become a very deep thinker.

2019 is almost here, where do you plan on taking the brand?
I am exhibiting at IJL2018 in September with the intention of moving in to the overseas market. I would love to explore the opportunities of the fine jewellery market and also, I am considering to design a unisex collection as I have surprisingly discovered that men like my designs a lot.

To date, what has been the highlight since launching?
The highlight has been the support from friends and family and of course the great response from the public to my collections.

Which city do you feel most at home in, London, Paris or New York?
London with no doubt! My home for 10 years.
