EIMÍLE is a new and emerging brand based in London. Her womenswear collection, inspired by a South American tribe’s bold markings, was featured on the catwalk of Graduate Fashion Week. She focuses on statement knitwear pieces, paired with bold screen printing and specialist hand painting techniques to create her garments.

The use and innovation of textiles and knitwear is the main aspect she likes to focus on within her brand. This stems from her background within textiles throughout her school life and was developed and refined during her time studying at the Arts University Bournemouth.

Here, we go behind the brand to find out more…

When did you launch the brand and what was the reason behind it?
I officially launched the brand earlier this year, but it kind of naturally started as a continuation from my graduate collection from university. I’ve always had plans of starting my own brand, as I love being able to experiment and blur the line between art and fashion and to be able to define fashion on my own terms.

Where do you plan on taking the brand in the next year?
As my brand is fairly new, I would like to get my name out there and hopefully increase its following, so having the honour of being featured within House of Coco has been a real pleasure and hopefully will reach out to people that otherwise wouldn’t have heard of the brand. I also have plans for my next collection to expand into menswear which is an exciting new direction for the brand!

Three beauty products you can’t leave the house without?
Mac concealer, Lime Crime matte lipstick & Vaseline cocoa butter lip balm.

Best thing about London to you?
The best thing about London to me is theres always something creative going on somewhere and usually for free. It doesn’t matter if your on a low budget theres always an exhibition or art installation or gallery that you can go check out and be inspired.

If you had to, what piece of clothing from your wardrobe would you wear everyday?
I would have to say my black oversized wide leg jumpsuit is definitely my go to outfit, its easily transformed from day to night with a few accessory changes.

Guilty pleasure?
Pizza.. Or anything with cheese actually!

If you could spend 24 hours in anywhere in the world, where would it be?
It would have to be Australia, as one thing i’d love to cross of my bucket list would be scuba diving in the Great Barrier Reef.
