House of Coco Travel Recommends: Le Saint-James, Bordeaux

When summer is over but you still yearn for that quick break away, why not choose something different for a couple of nights and visit the delicious Bordeux region of France.

We recommend Le Saint-James, located just fifteen minutes from central Bordeaux in the hillside village of Bouliac, offering a luxurious and tranquil haven just outside the city. It’s just 20 minutes from Bordeaux airport, and 25 minutes from Saint Émilion and the rest of the wine region.

This is the break you take to truly relax. Whatever you do for a living, whatever you look like or choose to wear or do for fun, if you enjoy the best, you deserve the best.

The contemporary hotel, Le Saint-James, was designed by iconic French architect Jean Nouvel. His creative objective being to create a design that opened onto the natural surroundings and to frame and present nature as a work of art. And that it does. As you can see from the pictures, you get to enjoy the regions lush greenery throughout every area of the hotel.

Each bed is in line with the expansive windows, so guests can make the most of the unbeatable view of the Aquitaine countryside, the River Garonne and Bordeaux from their pillow.

Plus the hotel also has an outdoor heated pool and a new state of the art cookery school on site.
