After several renderings emerging lately showcasing Apple’s new Cupertino headquarters, Apple have released a new video detailing the company’s new Campus 2 project, guided by architect Norman Foster. Apple’s Spaceship Campus 2 will boast a 2.8 million square foot campus, accommodating up to 13,000 employees within it’s spaceship like structure.
The futuristic building’s interior is designed to increase creativity and social interaction amongst co-workers, while a solar powered installation maintains Apple’s commitments to eco-friendliness, reportedly only using 100% renewable energy. With the goal of being the “best office in the world”, architect Norman Foster reflects on pre-production talks with Steve Jobs, drawing on his inspiration from his time at Stanford. The project is due to be completed in 2016.
