At House of Coco you don’t have to twist our arm too hard to get us to celebrate an occasion that is all about alcohol. Cue the arrival of the 11th of June and World Gin Day. Our friends over at Leeds Basque restaurant Pintura Kitchen and Bar have announced the launch of a pop-up Afternoon Tea with a very special Basque twist and you will guarantee to see #TeamCoco there propping up the bar.
Taking place on June 11th from 12-6pm, Pintura based at Trinity Leeds has teamed up with craft gin brand Copperhead to launch ‘G & High Tea’ – an event that gives a new Basque (and boozy) perspective on the quintessentially British tradition of high tea.
Pintura’s Bar Manager Matt Coates, Head Chef Greg Lewis and Copperhead’s David Relph have collaborated to produce a creative menu of pinxtos paired with four delicious gin cocktails, for a very Spanish afternoon in the restaurant’s very own outdoor gin garden.
Delicious gin cocktails on the menu include ‘Aperitivum’ – Copperhead gin, lemon juice, pamplemousse, grapefruit juice, aperitvum tincture, garnished with a grapefruit twist & a homemade grapefruit sherbert. Also on the menu is ‘Digestivum’ – Copperhead gin, lemon juice, egg white, homemade fiery ginger liqueur, digestivum tincture, garnished with freshly sliced ginger. Each cocktail has been specifically developed to complement that flavours of the mouth-watering dishes that will be served at the award-winning Leeds restaurant.
The special event is part of ‘Leeds Loves Cocktails’ – a week-long cocktail festival (6th-12th June) that takes place across the city each year and entitles wristband holders access to exclusive events, limited-edition drinks, discounts and competition. The 90-minute ‘G & High Tea’ sitting is exclusively available to wristband holders only and is priced at £25 including four cocktails and pinxtos pairing. Wristbands are available to purchase from www.lovescocktails.co.uk for £4.50.
There will be slots available for gin lovers at 12pm, 2pm and 4pm and booking is essential. To reserve your place, call 0113 430 0915 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
