The Oscars is the one red carpet event where couture and floor length gowns go hand in hand. No accessory is too much and no dress is too glam for the actressess, with all eyes on them as they walk the red carpet. 2014 was most certainly the year for the girls, with Cate Blanchett winning Best Actress in a Leading Role in Blue Jasmine, and Lupita Nyong’o’s role in 12 Years A Slave leading her to win Best Actress in a Supporting Role. These two successful women in equally as successful dress choices made as much of a statement in the film industry, as they did on the red carpet last night. It doesn’t just end there, with plenty more worthy winning actresses on show for their beautiful and decadent dress choices, we take a look at who wore what for the 86th Academy Awards.
