It’s no secret that London has the best Pride celebrations (alright, the parade in Brighton might be a tiny bit more sparkly) and the capital has already started rolling out the rainbow-filled events ahead of next week’s Pride celebrations. Trouble is, is, which ball should this Queen attend?
I’ve searched high and low for the best Pride events taking place in London, so all you have to do is get you love on – and glitter, obviously.
SINK THE PINK
Sink the Pink will be hosting the most extravagant way to finish of your Pride day in London this year, bringing its Icons Ball to the heart of East London at Troxy on 6th July, featuring Melanie C and Sink The Pink’s drag Spice Girls.
The beautiful art deco surrounding of Troxy will be transformed into a vibrant, bedazzled hub, hosting the official after party for the biggest queer celebration of the year.
Following a one-off show last summer with great hits, bedazzled one-pieces, and four additional Spices in drag, Melanie C and ringleader Glyn Fussel decided to return this summer for bigger, better and even louder as they set out on a World tour alongside the Sink the Pink crew.
Mel C said: “This is a bit of dream come true for me! I’m going on tour with Sink the Pink, the most inclusive, fun and fabulous club night in London and we’re taking their best drag queens round the world, with a truly special show in London after Pride. I can’t wait!”
Model turned entrepreneur, Teddy Edwardes has been running LICK Events, London’s only Lesbian club night for the past 3 years. Her events have spanned from weekly femxle-only club nights to steamy strip club love-ins, but this London Pride she’s bringing her biggest night yet to iconic conjoining super clubs FIRE & LIGHTBOX. Expect 3 enormous arches filled with 6 genres of music and some seriously hot girls!
