We love everything about the North East of England, especially the beautiful city of Durham with its stunning architecture and awe-inspiring cathedral. So, when #TeamCoco found out about this years Lumiere Durham Festival we thought we should let you know about it too.

If you like spending time with friends and family in the outdoors, you can appreciate a fabulous light show, and you’re into art and design then the Lumiere Durham Festival is 100% for you.

Lumiere makes a spectacular return to Durham on 14th – 17th November 2019 between 4.30pm and 11pm each evening. Visitors can delve into the 37 artworks that are programmed for this special 10th anniversary edition, including a selection of artworks from previous festivals, alongside exciting, new commissions by international artists and fresh talent from the North East.

There are so many opportunities to see different elements of this wonderful light festival, both inside a special free ticketed area and outside the area too, some of the artists include; Keys of Light by Mr Beam (The Netherlands), Harmonic Portal by Chris Plant (UK), Neon Dogs by Deepa Mann-Kler (UK), End Over End by Lucy McDonnell (UK), Are Atoms Alive? by Ocubo and Storybox (Portugal and New Zealand), Heron by Jon Voss (France), The Stars Come Out At Night by Stellar Projects (UK), Helvetictoc by Tobie Langel (Switzerland), Light Tunnel by Dan Shorten and Guildhall Live (UK), Wave-Field Variation H by CS Design and Lateral Office (Canada) – plus many more artists.
