We set sail from Alimos Marina in the morning, watching the city melt away behind us as the boat skimmed toward Vouliagmeni Bay, a pristine, sapphire-blue inlet perfect for a refreshing swim. It’s peaceful, beautiful, and totally Insta-worthy.
Next up, Astir Beach, the Riviera’s most exclusive sunspot, where the elite go to unwind. Floating just offshore means you get all the glitz without the crowds. Dip in the sea, recline on deck, and soak in the understated glamour.
We pre-booked lunch at Taverna 37 at the Four Seasons Astir Palace. This is the perfect spot for people watching. While we were there, some of the fanciest yachts moored in the bay and guests hopped on and off boats for drinks and food. This is more than a casual lunch spot; it’s a place to be seen and the atmosphere is barefoot-luxe at its best.
Set beneath olive trees, right on the water’s edge, the restaurant has some of the most spectacular views of the coastline. The menu leans into traditional Greek flavours, but with a luxurious twist. Think, sun-kissed tomatoes and plump, juicy Kalamata olives in a fresh Greek salad, grilled seafood kissed by charcoal, and a lobster pasta that is nothing short of legendary – rich, buttery, and perfectly al dente. Portions are generous so don’t over-order. The wine list is excellent and the service is seamless.

Post-lunch, we cruised south to Kavouri and Aghia Marina. Here we stopped off at secluded coves – quiet, unspoiled spots you can only reach by boat. This is where the Riviera really shows off with quiet waters, dramatic cliffs, and that soft, orange light Greece is famous for.
As the sun dipped toward the horizon, we popped one last bottle of prosecco and watched the sky turn gold from the deck. If there’s a better way to end a day, we are yet to find it.
