The Balvenie Sweet Toast of American Oak 12-Year Old

The first addition to the coveted The Balvenie Stories range – a collection of single malt whiskies representing tales of character, endeavour and generational knowledge – the Sweet Toast of American Oak 12-Year-Old was designed to produce an even fruitier, sweeter single malt. Apprentice Malt Master Kelsey McKechnie had the idea to import heavily toasted Virgin Oak Barrels from Kentucky and, after deep toasting them again at The Balvenie cooperage, they were filled with 12-year-old whisky aged in ex-bourbon barrels at The Balvenie distillery for two months. Resulting in a delectably complex whisky with notes of candied fruit, coconut and delicate vanilla, this is a sweet toast for this Mother’s Day and pairs perfectly with baked cheesecake for a meal near or afar this year.

The Balvenie Sweet Toast of American Oak 12-Year-Old is available for purchase online from The Whisky Shop for £50.00 (RRP 70cl).
