If, like us, you are starting to venture out more – to support your local small businesses and savour your first professionally poured pint since March – you may be looking for a little something to ward off anxiety and give you comfort.

After a period where we have been encouraged to self-care with incense, calming candles and cocoon ourselves in bubble baths, the outside world can seem overwhelming, scary and well, not very nice smelling.

We recently discovered ST PALO, a business run by Camila Sadler who found aromatherapy as a way to honour her mother. She found great comfort in scent during difficult times and has channeled that discovery into two beautifully designed diffuser necklaces.

The two necklaces – the Comfort and the Grace – come in silver, gold and rose gold and can house one of seven aromatherapy scent blends. The signature Spirit of St Palo blend comes with each necklace, providing earthy tones of the namesake Palo Santo. In an instant you feel transported to an immaculately rustic hotel in Marfa but also flooded with childhood memories of running through crunchy woods in summer holidays.

Camila has this to say – ” the origin of this necklace came from my own struggle to resume normal life while dealing with grief. It’s important to surround yourself with comforts especially in difficult times like these. I am often told that the necklace has become somewhat of a lifeline for people when it comes to their anxiety. Whenever you need it, it’s something to hold, that holds you back!”

If heading out into the world is making you feel a little ill at ease, look around for talismans to help you on your travels. Whether they be your favourite piece of jewellery, a colourful hair clip that puts pep in your step or some aromatherapy support in the form of essential oils or perfume, you do you and, from all of us at Team Coco, please take care.
