Quick Tips To Make Your Hair Look Great…

Are you the girl who wants an instant fix? Or wants a quick pick me up with the least amount of effort? Well add these tips to your beauty bible and start looking stylish and fabulous in very little time!

1. Beach Waves In Two Minutes

Attaining beachy waves in two minutes without using a curling iron can be done with hair spray, elastic bands, bobby pins and a blow dryer. Douse your hair in your favourite hair spray, wrap them into two Princess Leia-like buns, and blast with a blow dryer. Leave the buns alone until you have completed your makeup or have gotten ready, and then take out the bands and bobby pins before running out the door. Shake your hair by running your fingers through it and you are good to go!

2. DIY Leave-In Conditioner

Pour regular conditioner and water into a spray bottle (one part conditioner to three parts water). A few spritzes of this concoction untangles hair and keeps frizz at bay.

3. Fake A Longer Ponytail

Divide your hair into two ponytails: one with all of the hair above my ears and the other at the nape of your neck about three or four inches below it. The top ponytail falls over the bottom one, concealing the the elastic, so it looks like one long, voluminous ponytail.

4. Curl Hair With Straighteners

A quick way to create easy bendy waves, instead of barrel curls. Take one or two inch section of your hair and begin to pull it though your straightener as you normally would. Once you reach ear-level, flip the iron in the opposite direction by twisting your wrist so the strand is wrapping around the edge of the iron, and continue to pull it through to the ends.

5. Hand Cream As Hair Serum

If you do not have smoothing serum with you, use hand cream. Apply a pea size amount into your hands, then run your fingers lightly through your hair, starting in the back. Do not overdo it though, as your strands can get greasy fast.

6. One Step Conditioner

When you are in a rush and have wavy, thick hair, try this little trick. Massage conditioner into the scalp and through to the ends, making sure to rinse the scalp well. It gets hair clean and conditioned in one step.

7. Three Minute Updo

There is nothing quite like a three minute undo that looks like you have spent a good half hour on. Do this and impress your friends. Gather dry hair back into a high ponytail and secure with an elastic band. Next, twist the tail, wrap it around the elastic, and pin it into place with bobby pins. Shoot an aerosol hair spray all over, and gently rough up the bun with your fingers. Finish the look by sliding on a thin, stretchy headband to create a little bump behind it for a dressier finish.

8. Dry Shampoo

A girl’s best friend when you are stuck for time and need a quick refresh on your roots. Spray this baby on your hair, massage and comb through lightly to get an instant hair lift. If you have run out of dry shampoo, spray starch (the kind you have in the laundry room) works just as well too.

9. Static Hair Conundrum

If your hair is staticky after using heat tools, instead of loading it up with products, grab a dryer sheet and run it through your hair wherever there is static. Extra bonus: Your hair will smell amazing afterwards.
