The wellness industry is booming, particularly in London, where a new treatment promising optimised health seems to launch every week. With an influx of hi-tech wellness clinics, massage treatments inspired by every corner of the globe, and community saunas a regular fixture on Londoners’ weekly self-care schedules, the offering is vast and growing rapidly — meaning it can be challenging to distinguish which wellness treatments and experiences actually work.

The chaos of city living is both a blessing and a curse. There’s always something to do; it’s virtually impossible to get bored in this sprawling city. However, the Capital’s highly stimulating environment can come at a price. On the lower end of the scale, there’s overwhelm, but this can quickly turn into burnout for those who are burning the candle at both ends.
For city dwellers, it’s essential to carve out some time to recharge. While the simple things — a walk in nature, digital detoxes, and early nights — are the building blocks of a balanced life, for those who want an extra boost, these high-tech wellness treatments, including IV drips, floatation pools, lymphatic massages, and high-tech yet relaxing facials, are worth investing in and making a part of your monthly routine.

The evolution of London’s wellness landscape
London has transformed from a city where wellness meant occasional spa visits into a sophisticated ecosystem where cutting-edge technology meets ancient healing practices. The Capital’s wellness industry now encompasses everything from pharmaceutical-grade IV therapies to traditional Ayurvedic techniques, reflecting both global influences and local innovation.
This diversity allows Londoners to curate personalised wellness routines that address specific needs rather than settling for one-size-fits-all approaches. The proliferation of specialised clinics and treatment centres demonstrates growing recognition that preventative health and mental well-being deserve the same investment as conventional medical care.
What distinguishes London’s wellness scene is how seamlessly it integrates into busy urban lifestyles — with lunch-break friendly circuits and strategically located treatment rooms making self-care accessible rather than aspirational.
Why holistic health matters in urban environments
The emphasis on holistic health throughout London’s wellness offerings reflects a deeper understanding of how city living impacts overall wellbeing. Chronic stress, environmental toxins, disrupted circadian rhythms, and constant stimulation create compound effects that manifest physically, mentally, and emotionally.
Effective wellness treatments address these interconnected issues rather than isolated symptoms, which explains why approaches combining massage therapy with lymphatic drainage, or cryotherapy with infrared saunas, produce more dramatic results than single interventions.
The best wellness experiences in Dubai and other global wellness capitals share this comprehensive philosophy, positioning London within an international movement toward preventative, integrative health. For urban dwellers navigating relentless demands, these treatments aren’t indulgences — they’re essential tools for maintaining equilibrium in environments designed to deplete rather than restore.
The best wellness treatments in London
The skin-boosting drip: Vitaglow at REVIV, Harvey Nichols Knightsbridge
REVIV is a global leader in personalised preventative health, available on six continents. In London, they have two outposts, one in Great Portland Street and the other in the swish Harvey Nichols in Knightsbridge. I visited the latter to experience the Vitaglow Pro-Ageing Infusion drip, which is specifically designed to give skin, hair, and nails a boost from the inside. Add in an extra shot of B12 for an energy boost alongside the treatment.
The Vitaglow Pro-Ageing Infusion drip helps support glutathione levels, an essential compound naturally present in the human body, which is beneficial for antioxidant defence, as well as replenishing Vitamin C and N-Acetylcysteine levels. Sometimes referred to as the ‘master antioxidant’, glutathione aids the body’s detoxification processes, particularly within the liver, and the result is brighter, clearer skin.
Despite having some initial reservations, the drip itself was a pain-free and, dare I say, relaxing experience. Administered by a former NHS nurse, who was highly knowledgeable about this treatment and nutrition in general, any concerns I had (read: a slight fear of needles) quickly disappeared. It’s challenging to pinpoint exactly how a wellness treatment like this affects your appearance, as the results typically take a few days to become noticeable.
However, I did notice that my skin looked clearer and more radiant in the week following the Vitaglow Infusion. It’s recommended to book regular treatments for the best results — and REVIV has partnered with The Light Salon, located nearby in the treatment area of Harvey Nichols, to offer a series of three wellness treatments that combine a Vitaglow Infusion with LED therapy and facial massage for a truly pampering IV experience (this costs £520 for three sessions, which is a significant discount compared to the full price of the facial and drip treatments).

The Ayurvedic massage: Lymphatic Drainage Full Body at Dimple Amani, Knightsbridge
Dimple Amani has received acclaim among beauty editors and celebrities alike — and with good reason. The new flagship salon in Knightsbridge is one of the most beautiful in London, and its wellness treatments extend far beyond aesthetics. Dimple Amani’s offering is centred around the principles of Ayurverda, and the woman behind the salon, Dimple Amani herself, has become an advocate for the ancient Indian wellness technique.
The Dimple Amani Method is a blend of Ayurvedic practices and Western wellness techniques, featuring a treatment menu that focuses on targeted massage to stimulate the lymphatic system and promote fluid drainage. The results are impressive, with a significant reduction in bloating and firmer skin. However, the benefits of these wellness treatments are far more holistic, with regular treatments supporting the digestive system and helping to reduce toxins in the body.
The signature Dimple Amani Full Body Lymphatic Drainage massage begins with a ritual. The Amani Lymph Drain and Body Oil (which contains powerful Ayurvedic ingredients like turmeric, ashwagandha, and sesame oil) is heated and poured into the belly button and onto the stomach to reduce bloating and aid digestion, promoting relaxation. What follows is a vigorous massage to stimulate the lymphatic system. The salon also offers lymphatic facials to lift and sculpt the face naturally.
The ultimate mani/pedi: Wumma Spa

Wumman Spa was founded by Brazilian-born Paloma Buddemeier, who wanted to bring a new standard of nail care to London. Rather than a quick job where you join a conveyor belt of clients, Paloma has created an experience that truly feels like self-care and leaves visitors feeling pampered as well as more put-together. This unique approach has quickly earned the salon a place in London’s luxury wellness landscape.
Manicure and pedicure appointments are unhurried in a tranquil space, with a muted colour palette, rattan rugs and sculptural light fittings, offering a luxurious feel. The treatments here go the extra mile, with added extras such as cleansing foot masks and relaxing massages. Cuticle work is meticulous, while exfoliation techniques are thorough, and there’s a vast range of nail art and effects to choose from if you want to try something more creative.
Wumman’s therapists are warm and professional, adding to the overall welcoming feel of the salon and attention to detail. More than just a place for grooming, Wumman spa offers a city centre retreat where getting your nails done can feel like a full reset.
The floatation experience: Origin Pool at Damu Spa at The Mandrake Hotel, Soho

Floatation treatments offer a meditative experience with a feeling of weightlessness that can be profoundly relaxing. The Madrake Hotel, one of the most atmospheric luxury hotels in the capital, is famous for its Bali-esque outdoor/indoor dining space. The Mandrake is also home to the city’s first multi-sensory flotation pool, the Origin Pool at Damu spa.
Guests are enveloped in the warmth of an Epsom salt-infused water bath for an immersive experience that combines light therapy, sound therapy, and low-frequency water haptics to bring the body into a state of calm and equilibrium. It’s also worth trying one of the Mandrake Hotel’s relaxing soundbaths in plush surroundings. You can see their spiritual wellbeing schedule here.

The wellness circuit experience: The Vidavii Circuit, Mayfair
The Vidavii Circuit is the perfect wellness treatment for those in a rush — this innovative circuit takes only 30 minutes and is completely lunch-break friendly, with no downtime. The Vidavii Circuit consists of three chambers: Breathe, Squeeze, and Freeze, each targeting a different aspect of physical and mental wellbeing.
‘Breathe’ is an infrared and ionised oxygen chamber that feels similar to a sauna, helping to relax the body and speed up cell renewal in just eight minutes. ‘Squeeze’ is an alternating pressure wave system that supports lymphatic drainage and aids detoxification in the body. While the last section, ‘Freeze’, is a cryotherapy chamber that provides a full-body experience at -85°C. Cryotherapy is believed to help reduce inflammation, boost mood, and support the immune system.
The immersive cryotherapy treatment: Apogii Clinic in Notting Hill
Apogii Clinic is known for its chic Scandinavian design, making it one of the most stylish wellness treatment clinics in West London. The walk-in cryochamber can accommodate up to four people (the largest in London), and clients have the option to choose their own playlist to personalise the experience — a great distraction technique if you fear the cold. The chamber reaches -110ºC during the treatment.
While the benefits of cryotherapy are not yet fully understood, it’s thought to have a significant effect on pain relief and boost endorphins, as well as generally improve mental health.
Some studies suggest it can relieve mental issues such as anxiety and depression, strengthen the immune system, and reduce inflammation in as little as four minutes per month. Wellness enthusiasts often pair the experience with an infrared sauna, which is also available at Apogii Clinic.

The tension-releasing facial: The RELAX facial at Skin by Dosha, Southwark
Facials are always relaxing wellness treatments, but some are more targeted than others. Skin by Dosha is another wellness company with its roots in Ayurverda. Facialist April, who operates out of a cosy salon in London’s Southwark, offers a comprehensive treatment menu that taps into specific needs — whether that’s to relax, sculpt the jaw, or boost radiance.
The RELAX facial is an excellent treatment to start with, as it incorporates a variety of techniques, including cooling tools such as gua-sha, facial cupping, and LED light therapy, as well as applying pressure to facial acupressure points to further aid relaxation. It’s a facial that can be tailored to your specific needs, with an emphasis on holistic health rather than just improving skin in the short term.
