Hey foodies, it’s your Team Coco girl Hannah Tan here, and I recently checked out Riviera, Mayfair’s newest hotspot. Let me tell you, this place brings the sunny vibes of the Côte d’Azur right into the heart of London and is also undoubtedly one of the best Instagrammable restuarants in London.
From the moment you step into Riviera Mayfair, you’re hit with a warm, welcoming colour palette that screams Saint Tropez chic. The Zandi brothers, Alberto and Arian, have transformed this space into a Mediterranean paradise with the flavours of Cannes and the vibes of Saint Tropez.
Starters to Remember
We kicked things off with some fab starters. The Nicoise salad was a fresh, vibrant explosion of flavours – definitely not your average salad. And oh my, the Lobster Brioche? Pure luxury in every bite. It’s the perfect way to start your culinary journey here.
Main Attractions
Now, let’s talk mains. The Truffle and Cheese Gnocchi was like a hug from a French grandma – comforting, rich, and oh-so-delicious. But the real showstopper was the Grilled Lamb Cutlets. Paired with Puy lentils, sautéed French beans, confit onion, and a hint of chili, it was a symphony of flavours that just worked.
Sweet Endings
No meal is complete without dessert, and Riviera Mayfair doesn’t disappoint. The Crème Brûlée was perfectly creamy with that satisfying caramelized crunch. And the Lavender Shortbread? A delightful, fragrant twist that left me wanting more.
Drinks on Point
To wash it all down, we sipped on some delightful Picpoul de Pinet and Domaine de Belle Mare. And for a sparkling finish, the Crémant D’Alsace Jean Baptiste Adam was just the right touch of bubbly elegance.
The Vibe
The experience kicks off at the Amelia Lounge, which feels like stepping straight into a Picasso painting. It’s vibrant, artsy, and the perfect spot for a cocktail before dinner. As you head to the main dining room, the chic decor and those floor-to-ceiling windows offer amazing views of St. James below.
Riviera Mayfair isn’t just a meal; it’s a trip to the South of France without leaving London. From the food to the atmosphere, everything here is done with style and authenticity. So if you’re looking to escape the gloomy London weather, head to Riviera Mayfair for a dose of Mediterranean sunshine.
