All of the 27 bedrooms have been recently reimagined by interior designer JoJo McNamara who has successfully amalgamated vintage charm and cool, clean lines.  Spacious and stylish, expect plush furnishings and muted palettes, coupled with tasteful accents that exude understated luxury.  Sumptuous four-poster beds, comfy sofas and Nespresso machines transform your room into a relaxing haven to unwind during your stay.  The bathrooms boast a free-standing bathtub, powerful rainfall showers and soft fluffy bath robes.

The hotel is also child and dog friendly, offering garden suites with their own private terrace that open onto a small lawn.

While there are plenty of places to eat locally, you won’t want to leave the hotel.  Stanwell House offers three distinct dining experiences, that all showcase locally, fresh produce.  The Orangery brings the outdoors in, with its cobbled floor, glass roof and foliage making it a lovely location to indulge in one of their delicious afternoon teas.  The Salt Bar is an informal space with a well-stocked corner bar, dotted with low level seating and cosy corners.  They serve light bites and have a fantastic range of cocktails.   Samphire restaurant is the jewel in the culinary crown, with a menu that delivers a range of appetising dishes, share plates and a carefully curated selection of wine.  Prime cuts of meat, locally sourced seafood and sweet treats provide a celebration of Hampshire’s rich foodie heritage.   Breakfast is a colourful continental buffet of fruits, yoghurts, and pastries.  There’s a great selection of cooked to order options, including a full breakfast, choice of eggs and pancake stacks.

The staff are a credit to the manager, Lisa Bartlett, who has sourced a team of young, diligent, friendly workers.  From the moment you arrive you are greeted by the warm reception staff who swiftly check you in while making sure you have the full low down on the hotel and local area.  The same level of service is extended across the restaurants and bar.
