The first thing that stands out with each Ella & Jo skincare products is the beautifully designed packaging. Each separate box is floral and feminine, in a pretty and whimsical way. There is something calming and reassuring about the pattern, with pastel pinks, blues and greens adorning the front of each box.
Then you open it and each product is bursting with colour. You will find orange, pink, light blue, dark blue, purple and various other colours enhancing the product itself.
Our beauty writer, Rachel McAlley tried and tested a few of the best-selling Ella & Jo products to see if they live up to their reputation. Did the skincare products work on Rachel’s skin, and which one was her personal favourite?
I trialled six different skincare products on my face, neck, and decolletage over a one-month period before coming to any conclusion.

The Glow Enzyme Mask, £34
The Glow Enzyme Mask is only to be used once or twice a week on cleansed skin. It gives your skin the glow up it deserves. Formulated with Fruit Acids, Hyaluronic Acid, and Vitamin C, which when combined together helps to brighten and rejuvenate the skin. Equally, it unblocks pores, and increases cell renewal.
Brighten & Glow Hydrating Exfoliating Cleanser, £30
This cleanser gives you a fresh-faced feeling both morning and night as it can be used at both ends of the day. Also, Brighten & Glow Hydrating Exfoliating Cleanser is packed with hydrating and nourishing ingredients such as Pumpkin Fruit Extract, Superfood Oils, and Vitamin E. It gently exfoliates dead skin cells whilst removing makeup and impurities. Furthermore, it can also be used once or twice a week as a face mask for ultimate radiance.
Clear Skin AHA & BHA Clarifying Liquid, £30
A blemish busting liquid with Witch Hazel Extract to calm inflammation, and Willow Bark Extract to help calm and reduce excess oil. The Clear Skin AHA & BHA Clarifying Liquid contains dual-action actives including 2% Salicylic Acid and Lactic Acid to exfoliate and decongest. The result is a clearer, healthier complexion.
Plump & Protect Day Cream with SPF 30, £34
Ella & Jo’s Plump & Protect Day Cream is a plumping, hydrating superhero product that not only protects the skin against daily pollution, but it also helps with preventing premature ageing. Stacked with protectors including, SPF 30, Anti-Blue Light Filter, Hyaluronic Acid Crosspolymer, and Ceramide Complex. This unique day cream offers skin protection, plumps out fine lines and wrinkles, restores the skin’s barrier, retains moisture, and helps with the reduction of pigmentation.
Nourish & Glow Superfood Oil, £53
This restorative oil can be used as a stand-alone skincare product or before using Relax & Renew Night Cream. Nourish & Glow Superfood Oil helps the skin to smooth out fine lines and balance sebum levels to unlock youthful skin. Infused with Retinol it will stimulate cell renewal and give a more even tone and texture to the skin. Moreover, it includes Vitamin E, Rosehip Oil and Superfood Oils to assist with pro-ageing, nourishment, and increased hydration.
Relax & Renew Night Cream, £48
The richest, creamiest of night creams with Bakuchiol, Peptides, Polyglutamic Acid, hyaluronic Acid, and Magnesium. Your skin will be stimulated, renewed, plumped, and hydrated while you sleep. The inclusion of Bakuchiol in the Relax & Renew Night Cream reduces hyperpigmentation, lines, and wrinkles all whilst stimulating collagen and elastin. Magnesium is an anti-inflammatory, skin healing ingredient, that helps renew your skin throughout the night.
Ella & Jo
My personal favourite Ella & Jo product is the Plump & Protect Hydrating Day Cream with SPF 30, it just sits comfortably on my skin, feels light, and gently hydrates my face throughout the day. I will keep using this day cream moving forward, and I’m hoping that long-term it will start to plump out the wrinkles on my neck and around my forehead.
I also love The Glow Up Enzyme Mask, and use it just once weekly. I think twice weekly may be too much for my sensitive skin, but once works perfectly. It definitely brightens my skin tone, which has been severely lack-lustre in recent months.
