Feeling stressed? Then it’s time to boot up one of these 5 games

So, you’ve had a long day, maybe a long week or even a long month? We’ve all been there. Sometimes when you get that stressed it can be hard to relax. But don’t worry, we have found the secret to chilling out, even when your brain is absolutely fried… Relaxing games.

Yes, many people associate gaming with high levels of stress and concentration. But there is a whole world of warm, cozy, and relaxing games out there. And we’d like to open your eyes to them.

All the games below are going to help you drift off into another world full of fun, relaxation, and small tasks to complete that will give you that serotonin rushes your brain so desperately needs.

#1 – Stardew Valley

If you have never played this game before then you need to change that as soon as you finish reading this article. This AAA game is less than $15 and has hundreds of hours of gameplay to offer you. It is available on PC, Mac, and every modern console.

You play as a farmer who has moved onto their grandad’s old farm to escape your life working for big business in the city. Soon after you arrive in the town you will discover that everything is not what it seems…

This game was made by one man over the course of three years and is updated at least 3 times a year. The game’s creator took everything he loved about the games Harvest Moon, Animal Crossing, and Pokemon, and mixed them together to make one of the best farming simulators to be released this century.

The game gives you the freedom to choose how to spend your time – you can fight in the mines, farm, fish, collect artifacts, or woo the villagers. Whichever you choose to do, you will have a great time.

Also, like every other game on this list – it has the perfect soundtrack.

#2 – Book of Travels

This is a game that is still in early access and is only available on Mac and PC. However, if you are gaming on your computer and want to spend some time walking around the most beautiful setting released in 2021, then head over to Book of Travels.

Book of Travels is a TORPG (tiny online role-playing game), where you are put into servers with a maximum of 7 other people. So crossing paths with another play is a rare and exciting experience.

If you like games that don’t hold your hand and you enjoy playing a game until you understand what is going on then this will be the perfect game for you.

#3 – Solitaire

If you are really stressed then you might want to go a little old school and play some spider solitaire with yourself.

If you need to unwind then online solitaire is the perfect choice for you. You don’t have to worry about sorting or dealing the cards, you can just click a button and have fun sorting the cards into the right piles.

There is no better feeling than beating the deck when you play solitaire.

#4 – Journey

This is another older game that you may have already heard of, however, if you are stressed then now might be the perfect time to check it out.

When it was first released, Journey won award after award for its incredible soundtrack, stunning visuals, and out-of-the-box gameplay.

We won’t tell you too much about the story because it is best to go in knowing as little as possible. But, prepare to have your heart warmed by a game that was made two consoles generations ago and is still one of the best-looking games out there.

#5 – Planet Zoo

If you grew up playing the Zoo Tycoon games then we have some really good news. A new, updated, and better-looking version of those games has been released.

Planet Zoo has everything you loved about the Zoo Tycoon games – the cute animals (but now they are made of more than 3.5 pixels), zoo building mechanics, and physics-defying paths. But this new game comes with a story option, way more animals, and much more exciting building and gameplay options.

They also went all out on the soundtrack. Not only is it one of the most relaxing soundtracks out there but it is also insanely catchy – you will be singing it all week.
