Sharing our top travel inspired decor picks from Homesense…
Here at House of Coco, it’s no secret that our #TeamCoco are a *little bit travel obsessed and it’s safe to say that with most trips at least one or two travel trinkets are packed in our case to decorate our home with! I’m personally a big fan of sourcing local items when travelling abroad, to both help support the local economy, and to have a keepsake from my trip to serve as a reminder of a wonderful trip!
Today, I’m showcasing my favourite travel inspired decor, from one of our favourite homeware brands; Homesense! People are becoming more aware of slow travel and taking fewer trips than we used to, so we’re looking towards Homesense to help us fuel our love for travel inspired decor. From Moroccan rugs, to Mediterranean inspired kitchenware and strong Asian influencers throughout their stores.
Homesense recently ran a survey which discovered that almost HALF of Brits have fibbed about the origins of their exotic homeware buys! Brits admit to cunningly tricking visitors into thinking our Turkish rugs (21%), African masks (20%), tapas dishes (17%) and tagine pots (13%) are from another country. This is based on our desire to create a worldly feel around our homes (47%) with 68% stating they seek their décor inspiration from other countries.
Over half of those surveyed (54%) state they would rather perfect their dream home than go on a dream holiday, with 88% insisting that home is where the heart is.
