Can you share any insights or updates on the new products you mentioned in our previous interview? How have they progressed since then?
Since our last interview, we have launched several products to the market: Marine Collagen Serum, Anti-Aging Pearl Elixir, Refining Lotion, Micellar Cleansing Water, Hydra Glow Mask, Hydrogel Eye Contour Mask, Bamboo Facial Scrub, and Lip Balm. These are all retail products. This year, we will introduce two more – a specialist product and an eye cream.
Our long-term goal was to develop a professional luxury natural Dalú Clinic & Spa line, specifically designed for top-notch hotels and spa centres so that people could truly experience and get to know Dalú Clinic & Spa products. In June 2023, our work was completed. Our 7 facial and 2 body rituals provide a unique wellness experience that pampers both your skin and your soul.
How has the response been from your customers regarding your existing product line?
The response has been very positive, with excellent results. Customers love the textures, scents, and most importantly, the results of our skincare products.
With the success of DALÚ Natural Skincare, have you encountered any unexpected challenges or surprises along the way?
A lot has happened in the past three years. First, it was COVID, then the war in Ukraine started, and now the conflict in Palestine. All these events have significantly impacted the global economy, including the skincare industry. We have had to constantly adjust.
Could you delve deeper into the sustainable practices implemented within your brand?
From the outset, it was vitally important to us that our products were effective, but not at the cost of the planet or our health. Skin is our largest organ, and what we put on it can affect our entire body. Similarly, the way products are produced and packaged can impact the planet. We believe in treating both with utmost respect. Our understanding of science and medicine, combined with our passion for the planet, enables us to achieve this.
Key aspects of our sustainable skincare include:
Ethically sourced ingredients
Recyclable packaging
Biodegradable formulas
Avoiding harmful chemicals (GMO, microplastics, parabens)
Cruelty-free practices
Use of local ingredients when possible
Recycling programs using recyclable materials (glass, FSC and CN paper, rPET), though a take-back program is impractical due to cost and resource consumption.
We also focus on longevity and versatility, with multi-use products that embody our philosophy of “skinimalism.” Our products feature multifunctional, skin-enhancing formulas.





How do you ensure sustainability throughout the entire production process?
We only work with verified suppliers and companies. Our products are certified, ensuring independent external quality control.
How do you stay inspired and innovative when developing new formulations and products for DALÚ Natural Skincare?
My love for medicine, skincare, and all things beauty keeps me constantly inspired.
Have there been any recent advancements or trends in the skincare industry that have influenced your approach to product development?
I believe having the best ingredients and a solid base for our products is crucial. Once you have that, you can do anything. The rest is marketing, driven by the big players and the media. We use peptides, ceramides, retinol, vitamin C, blue beauty, hyaluronic acid, and more in all our products from the beginning because our products are developed according to skin’s needs. While new trends appear monthly, high-tech ingredients with studies always inspire me.
As an entrepreneur in the beauty industry, how do you navigate the balance between staying true to your brand’s values and adapting to evolving consumer preferences?
It’s simple: stay true to yourself and what you believe in. The rest will follow, even if it takes more time. This approach makes us a boutique brand and sets us apart from the mass industry.
Can you discuss any partnerships or collaborations that DALÚ Natural Skincare has pursued recently or is considering in the future?
We are working hard, and 2024 will be very important for us.
What role does research and development play within your brand? How do you stay informed about the latest scientific findings and technologies in skincare?
I regularly read about new developments in the beauty industry online and in brochures and keep up with new ingredients on the market. I also visit international beauty industry fairs, such as In-Cosmetics.
You mentioned that your skincare routine begins with washing your face with cold water.
Cold water accelerates circulation in the skin, promoting skin regeneration. However, it shouldn’t be overdone.
Are there any other unconventional skincare practices or rituals that you swear by?
No, nothing unconventional. Our beauty rituals are based on various massage techniques, digitopressure, acupuncture, and more. We also include some surprises during the rituals. Our goal is a holistic approach to pamper your skin and all your senses.
For home care, I usually follow classical steps: cleanser, refining lotion, serum, and cream. Our serums are high-quality and high-performance, making them easy to get used to. Once a week, I use a facial sheet mask, our Hydra Glow Mask, which is a true hydration bomb, giving immediate glow to the skin. Every three weeks, I have a facial scrub. I must admit I prefer pampering in a spa rather than doing it myself. Our rituals work wonders with different massage techniques and specialist products.
How do you prioritise self-care amidst the demands of running a successful business and maintaining a career in medicine?
It’s hard, but I manage with the support of my great family and all the amazing people around me.





What advice would you give to individuals struggling to find a skincare routine that works for them?
Listen to experts who have experience and knowledge about the skin and the products of the brand you wish to buy. I personally prefer the advice of an aesthetic doctor or trained cosmetician in a spa or beauty clinic over a saleswoman selling multiple brands in a store. It’s impossible to know them all, especially if your skin is sensitive and needs a more personalised approach. However, there are some high-end stores with good brand promoters.
For example, in a store, you might be offered a great cream for normal skin, but if your skin is dry, you will not be satisfied. Defining your skin’s needs with the help of experts in skincare with basic knowledge of the skin is crucial.
Regarding your personal style, do you find any parallels between your approach to fashion and your approach to skincare?
Yes, I could say so. I’ve always been very selective when it comes to clothes and skincare. My wardrobe is not packed, but it contains all “must-have” pieces of high quality. I swear by classic elegance but also enjoy comfortable everyday clothes. I’ve always admired Coco Chanel, a true icon with style.
In your opinion, what sets DALÚ Natural Skincare apart from other brands in the market?
Dalú products embody sustainability from the beginning while ensuring high-performance biotechnological ingredients that provide visible, clinically proven results. The products are dermatologically tested and safe, offering a true natural luxury among clean beauty products.
Have you faced any setbacks or failures throughout your entrepreneurial journey? How did you overcome them?
Unfortunately, we have. I believe everyone does. The most important realisation for me was that top quality alone is not enough for success. Significant financial investments and connections are required to break through. Many lesser-quality brands succeed because they can afford expensive marketing. Unfortunately, the country of origin also plays a crucial role.
As an advocate for clean beauty, what are your thoughts on the future of the beauty industry and its impact on the environment?
The beauty industry is huge, and we all must think about sustainability. Packaging is crucial and should be recyclable. We should ban the production of new plastic and use only rPET for plastic materials, reducing waste and microplastics in the environment. Glass is the first choice. I do not believe that refills have a future in retail because the product must still be filled in something, usually plastic, and requires secondary packaging. The production is cheaper, but the waste is the same and usually plastic, which is harmful.

2019: Established the company
2020: Launched the first five products
2022-2023: Expanded retail products to twelve
June 2023: Launched Dalú Clinic & Spa line with 25 products and clean beauty luxury facial and body rituals
How do you define success, both personally and professionally, and how has your definition evolved over time?
For most people, success is often related to money. I do not define success by money. Success is having happy and healthy kids, a loving relationship, work that you love, and more. There is no success in business without taking risks. Nothing happens from your comfort zone.
Are there any particular ingredients or skincare trends that you’re excited to explore in the future?
I’m open to everything new. When something good comes out, I will definitely be interested in trying it.


Looking ahead, what are your long-term goals and aspirations for yourself and DALÚ Natural Skincare?
I would like Dalú to be known worldwide and used by people everywhere.
Our readers love to travel; what destination is at the top of your bucket list?
I have many favorites! My absolute favorites are Mauritius, Maldives, and Spain. I’m sure I will love Tanzania, which I intend to visit soon. Nature and good food have always been very important in my life.
