Valentina Fine Foods, the authentic Italian delicatessen, restaurant, café and wine shop dotted around London, Surrey and Kent, has recently opened its seventh shop in Chiswick, the playground of the ultrachic and the very yummiest of mummies!
The House of Coco gang visited the Chiswick branch to stock up on the very finest of Italian, goodies, who can say no to their shining orbs of olives, tangy anchovy fillets and sumptuous olive oils?!
The huge deli range includes fresh hams and salamis, cheeses and traditional antipasti, alongside a complete range of store cupboard essentials, as well as specials, cooked freshly every day – and if you don’t want to trek down to Chiswick, hey pesto, they’ll bring your delights to your home via their online store!
What’s lovely in this day and age is that Valentina is jointly owned by the Zoccola and Arcari families who founded their temple to Italian cuisine back in 1991, today its run by third generation family members, Fabio, Gabriella, Antonio, Marco and Carmine. Both families have their roots in Sant’Elia Fiumerapido, a small village near Monte Cassino southeast of Rome and the influence and the sense of heritage is clear in everything they do.
Their extensive dining menu offers authentic Italian recipes handed down from generations of the respective families, dishes range from beautiful antipastos and pasta dishes through to elegant mains such as the Swordfish loin cooked in a ‘Livornese’ tomato, black olive and caper sauce – dreamy!
Valentina Fine Foods restaurants are located in Sheen, Putney, Sevenoaks, Notting Hill, Weybridge and Reigate. Store hours are from Monday to Sunday from 8:30 am to 10:30 pm serving breakfast (hot breakfast only on weekends) lunch and dinner every day.
