While elongated barges idle by laden with rice and sugar from Thailand’s agricultural heartlands and with Bangkok’s first paved thoroughfare, Charoenkrung Road, marking its entrance, Capella Bangkok is privileged to intersect these two landmarks and pay tribute to the re-emergence of the Charoenkrung district. It is here where for decades settlers and traders docked, creating a convergence of race, religion and cuisine, a character retained today. Staying at the property will be like having a box-seat to the living history of Bangkok’s heritage quarter.
