Australian born, London based accessories/textile designer, Amy Sia, has created her second cushion collection called Aegean. Amy Sia’s new cushion collection features vibrant colours from her recent travels to the Caribbean and Mediterranean.
Washes of watercolour and painterly prints are thriving trends within the interior design world and Amy’s signature designs fit perfectly into this whimsical category. Each cushion design is printed onto 100% cotton, backed with a natural coloured cotton/linen blend. To add to the already sumptuous quality of the cushions, they are available with a duck feather insert. To ensure that she achieves a strong range of colours and recreates her painterly artwork in the finest way possible, each design is digitally printed onto the fabric. Here at House of Coco we are avid supporters of British made products and each cushion by Amy Sia is carefully crafted in the UK.
Amy’s recent travels have taken her to Turks and Caicos and the Greek Islands where she became inspired to create her new collection. “I’ve been lucky enough to travel a bit this year and have been influenced by the beautiful colours and landscapes around, including the tropical colours aqua, yellow, tangerine of the Caribbean (Turks and Caicos), the bold blues and magentas of the Greek Islands (Naxos and Santorini) washed out pastels of Cinque Terre.” says Amy Sia.
Accessories are just another form of canvas where Amy can showcase her ethereal artwork. Her dreamy prints combined with a bold use of colour have caught the eye of stores such as Anthropologie, Selfridges, Heals and Urban Outfitters while over 100,000 Pinterest users follow her eye for design. She is making a wonderful name for herself within the industry and we are excited to see where life takes her next.
The new collection retails at £70 each and available to buy from www.amy-sia.com
