Welcome to our ultimate guide on what to do in London this Easter weekend. Easter activities are always synonymous with spring, usually a combination of good food, indulgent desserts, getting outside, enjoying the flowers and a few al fresco drinks if the weather allows.
London comes alive in the spring, its vast parks full of wildflowers and people spilling out onto the street from lively pubs. And there’s nothing more glorious than having two extra days to enjoy it all during the Easter Bank Holiday. This year, Easter weekend runs from Good Friday on April 3 to Easter Monday on April 6, with plenty of activities in the capital to enjoy, from bonnet parades to craft workshops and all-you-can-eat London roast dinners.
With, quite remarkably, as Easter falls during one of the rainiest times of year in the UK, sunshine predicted all weekend long, it’s time to start planning your perfect spring weekend in the city. Lauren Kate Hughes rounds up what to do in London this Easter.
The Big Easter Quiz at Big Penny Social
Walthamstow’s huge beer hall, Big Penny Social, is throwing a huge Easter bash where guests can go home with a big cash prize to make their Easter break all the more special. As well as the jackpot, there’s plenty more to win, including rounds of drinks, bar tabs and other treats. And as a bonus, each team that takes part will go away with some chocolate. Find out more on the Big Penny Social website.
Grab an Ice Cream at Badiani

There are few better ways to mark an indulgent Easter weekend than with a scoop (or three) from Badiani. Whether you swing by one of its many parlours for a cone on the go, or pick up a tub to take home and share, the offering is as generous as it is delicious. Think gorgeous hazelnut, rich chocolate sorbet and addictive espresso, as well as the brand’s iconic buontalenti and dolce vita flavours.
There are also fruit-forward sorbets that cut through all that Easter excess. For something a little different, the limited-edition colombo and panettone flavours bring a celebratory Italian twist, nodding to traditional Easter bakes with a gelato spin. They’re excellent enjoyed solo, but even better piled onto warm waffles or spooned over desserts for an at-home treat that feels just a bit special.

Easter Mini Disco at Sea Containers London

Over on the South Bank, Sea Containers London is throwing open the doors of its iconic rooftop bar 12th Knot for a kids Easter Mini Disco hosted by the legendary Sharky & George. On Saturday 4 April from 12-2pm, families are invited up to the terrace for two hours of high-energy entertainment, Easter games and dance-offs, all set against panoramic views across the Thames.
Adults get a welcome drink on arrival, little ones get a healthy snack box, and everyone gets 10% off at Sea Containers Restaurant before or after. Adult tickets are £17, child tickets are £13, and family tickets (2 adults/2 children) are £55. Here’s the booking link if you want to attend.
Comfort food at Burger and Beyond

If Easter weekend calls for something more savoury, Burger & Beyond has you covered with some of the capital’s most indulgent patties. Best known for its rich, dry-aged beef patties and unapologetically messy stacks (you can choose up to triple!), this is the sort of place you go to fully lean in. The Boujie burger (with steak sauce and marrownaise), the Bacon Butter burger and the Krispie Fried Chicken are all delicious – and all pair nicely with Burger & Beyond’s signature tots (choose from buffalo sauce or truffle).
Not to be missed? The cocoa and caramel chicken wings, as well as the vegan nduja corn ribs, which are both seriously addictive. So whether you visit one of the buzzy London restaurants or grab a cheeky takeaway, few things rival the comfort of a proper burger and fries when you need a hangover cure.
The Ultimate Sunday Roast at Bread Street Kitchen, Battersea
For an indulgent Easter feast, head to Bread Street Kitchen in Battersea Power Station and settle in for Ramsay’s Ultimate Sunday Roast with lamb as the springtime centrepiece, with a choice of two other meats – beef, chicken or pork and seasonal vegetables. The roast, which promises to be a delicious spread from the reliably good Bread Street Kitchen, is available for £30 per person, and you can add free-flowing red or white wine for 90 minutes for £20 per person.
A Chauffeured Ride in a Luxurious Private Car with Blacklane
