Who’s Cooking Dinner? The Culinary Event of the Year

Get ready for glitz, glamour, and gourmet delights!

Have you ever been to an event so fab that it gives you goosebumps just thinking about it? Well, let me tell you, Siobhan Murphy (our beloved Interiors Editor and fellow sparkle bae) and I are about to attend one that’s giving us all the feels. Who’s Cooking Dinner? is celebrating its 25th year, and we couldn’t be more excited. Yes, you heard that right – two and a half decades of incredible chefs cooking up a storm for a cause that’s as inspiring as the food itself!

Now, for those of you who haven’t had the pleasure (yet), let me give you the lowdown. Imagine this: the crème de la crème of chefs from across the UK descending on The Dorchester in London, cooking up something so tantalising, so mind-blowingly delicious, that you’ll be daydreaming about it for months. The twist? You have no idea which of these kitchen magicians will be serving you until you arrive. Oh, the drama! The intrigue! It’s like a culinary version of Russian roulette… except no one’s losing.

This year’s lineup is hotter than ever. We’re talking Clare Smyth, Tom Kerridge, Francesco Mazzei, Jeremy Lee, Elliott Grover, and Jean-Philippe Blondet – all donning their aprons for Leukaemia UK’s flagship fundraiser. I’m swooning just thinking about it. And Siobhan and I? Oh, we’ll be glammed up to the nines, nothing new there. This is an event for gowns, glitter and gourmet magic, so you know we’ll be dazzling. After all, why be anything less than extra when you’re sparkle baes?

The most jaw-dropping part of the night (besides the food, obviously) is the post-dinner auction. Past years have seen absolute legends like Jamie Oliver, Gordon Ramsay and Marcus Wareing auctioning themselves off to cook in people’s homes. Yes, you heard me. These culinary gods literally offering once-in-a-lifetime experiences to the highest bidder – and all for charity! Can you imagine? Siobhan and I are already plotting how we can bid for a kitchen takeover. Sparkles and soufflés? Yes, please.

But it’s not just about the glitz and glam, though, let’s be real, we live for that. It’s also about raising money for an incredibly important cause. Every hour in the UK, someone is diagnosed with leukaemia. Chris Corbin, one half of the genius duo behind this event, knows all too well how devastating blood cancer can be. He was diagnosed with chronic myeloid leukaemia (CML) in 1990, and his co-founder, Peter Gordon, donated bone marrow to save his sister, Tracey, when she was battling acute myeloid leukaemia (AML). This event isn’t just about food; it’s about hope, healing, and giving back.

Chris Corbin summed it up perfectly: “25 years ago, Peter and I had an idea to create a fundraiser with a difference.” And wow, have they succeeded. To date, Who’s Cooking Dinner? has raised over £7 million for Leukaemia UK, funding life-saving research to stop this disease in its tracks.

This year’s event on the 16th of September is set to be the most glamorous yet, and tickets are selling like hotcakes (or, you know, Michelin-starred soufflés). There are even exclusive tables up for grabs that give you access to the chef’s afterparty – or, if you’re feeling extra fancy, a backstage kitchen tour! I don’t know about you, but I’m already planning my outfit. Siobhan and I have dubbed this our ‘glitter and glamour’ event of the year, and we’ll be there with bells on (well, sparkles, but you get the vibe).

So, what are you waiting for? Grab your ticket, get your glam on, and join us for a night of unforgettable food, fabulous company, and the warm glow of knowing you’re part of something truly life-changing.

See you at The Dorchester, sparkles and all.✨
