If you’re looking to plan the PERFECT doggy road trip with your four-legged best friend, look no further, because #TeamCocopup Charlie has got you covered. We embarked – on what could potentially be – the dreamiest dog-friendly road trip ever created. Our next stop takes us St Ives to ultra-luxurious beachfront lodges at Carbis Bay. Safe to say, you haven’t seen a beach house like this before.
The Carbis Bay Hotel is a modern British paradise, and the newly opened beach lodges – are nothing short of spectacular. Carbis Bay Hotel is located right on St. Ives beach and offers an unparalleled luxury beach experience. In fact, the risk in describing the beach lodges at Carbis Bay is that you might run out of superlatives.
We stayed in the luxury lodge, which was three floors of seaside chic. The top floor is your own private roof garden and sundeck, which features your own Villeroy & Boch hot tub. The second floor features three en-suite bedrooms, two of which have their own panoramic sea views of St. Ives beach. The master bedroom also has a handsome roll top bath. Oh, and did we mention that the Perrin & Rowe bathrooms had heated floors too?
Down the concrete spiral staircase (another striking design feature), you will find a generous sized open lounge and dining area and a bottle of champagne upon arrival. At the lounge, Jose Baker’s relaxing coastal interiors greets you, before your eyes meet the floor-to-ceiling windows. The lounges feature a remote-controlled fireplace, Bang & Olufsen sound system, a fully stocked kitchenette, and all the luxury amenities you didn’t even know you needed. Every beach lodge has its own private sundeck and garden, and private beach access too.
Step outside into your beach garden and make your way to St. Ives beach. It is the perfect place to spend an afternoon with your pup – just be ready for some sandy paws.
Outside of the beach lodges, there’s plenty to explore in Carbis Bay Hotel. The Hotel’s Beach Restaurant is dog-friendly and offers plenty of coastal delicacies, while the award-winning C Spa is perfect for a luxurious pampering treatment. The only problem you will find with the Carbis Bay, is that you’ll never want to leave.
