It’s that time of year again – Record Store Day 2026 is fast approaching and this year’s line-up is packed with an exciting range of limited edition releases set to thrill vinyl fans across the globe.
Over the years, Record Store Day has been championed by an impressive list of ambassadors, including Kate Bush, Taylor Swift, Noel Gallagher, The 1975, Jack White, Sam Fender and Elton John, each helping to shine a spotlight on the culture and community behind independent record shops.
Now in its 19th year, the initiative continues to celebrate and support indie record stores across the UK, with more than 270 shops taking part in this year’s event on Saturday 18 April.
As always, collectors can expect a treasure trove of exclusive, one-off pressings, with releases from artists such as David Bowie, The Charlatans, Taylor Swift, blur, Robert Plant who has been named as the latest recipient for the esteemed Record Store Legend award and many more.
Robert has said: “Record stores have always been a part of my life. For me, once you get to the physical record it’s because you really want to know and be a part of what the artist was considering. And I know, as a guy who’s been making records since 1966, people want to take home something very special, to enjoy all the elements of what an artist has put together. We want a connection between the music and the art of the whole thing.”
So which titles should be on your radar? We are glad you asked. Here is our pick of the standout Record Store Day releases for 2026.
