Laura Bartlett delves in…

Passion and admiration filled our hearts as we stepped into Blue Pavilion, Leeds’ newest culinary gem. Accompanied by my Asian friend, a dumpling enthusiast who rarely gives out compliments, we embarked on a journey of flavours that left us spellbound.

From the first bite to the last, every dish shattered our expectations, surpassing other restaurants claiming to offer what Blue Pavilion does. The genius behind these culinary masterpieces is none other than the acclaimed chef, lured from London’s prestigious Hakkasan. His dedication to commuting to Leeds pays off, as he skilfully brings the best Chinese cuisine to the city.

The decor of Blue Pavilion is an Instagrammer’s dream – a harmonious blend of elegance and glamour that perfectly complements the culinary artistry within. Each corner is meticulously designed to enhance the overall dining experience, making it a feast for both the palate and the eyes.

During our visit, we had the privilege of meeting the passionate owner, Jack Lin, whose enthusiasm for his restaurant was contagious. We couldn’t help but wish him boundless success, following in the footsteps of his first triumph, Blue Sakura.

Blue Pavilion promises an unforgettable dining and entertainment experience and it over delivers. Situated in the vibrant heart of Leeds within the Merrion Centre, this £3 million venue exudes elegance and culinary excellence.

Building on the success of Blue Sakura, Blue Pavilion introduces the same commitment to quality and innovation to Chinese cuisine. The diverse menu, inspired by centuries-old traditions, showcases the rich tapestry of flavours, textures, and aromas from different regions of China. Whether opting for set menus or à la carte, diners are treated to a gastronomic adventure.

The drinks menu complements the dishes, featuring fine wines and premium cocktails. Exclusive spirits, including The Macallan Sherry Oak (25-year-old), add an extra layer of sophistication to the dining experience.

Blue Pavilion goes beyond being a mere dining destination; it transforms into an after-hours hub of entertainment. The state-of-the-art karaoke venue, K-CUBE, sits above the restaurant and it invites patrons to unleash their inner rockstar in a private and stylish setting. With three private dining rooms accommodating varying party sizes, Blue Pavilion caters not just to foodies but also to those seeking a night of revelry.

Blue Pavilion isn’t your typical restaurant; it’s a vibrant celebration of culinary wizardry, cultural richness, and pure entertainment, all harmonising to craft an extraordinary experience right in the heart of Leeds. And here’s the inside scoop – when our resident dumpling head gives her seal of approval, you better believe it’s a culinary escapade like no other. Get ready to embark on a journey of flavours, fun, and foodie delights at Blue Pavilion!
