Where did your love and interest of fashion come from?
I feel I was born with it. At an early age, my family knew I was very artistic and had a style of my own. I reflected fashion in everything I did. At the age of 9 years old, my first artwork was placed in a children’s art exhibition.
My parents were both in the garment business, so I learned a lot from them. My mother used to have custom dresses done for my sister and me, and we were able to choose styles and fabric. I learned to appreciate fabric, trims, and fashion, which developed my skills and love for them.
How do you want people to feel when they wear Icel De Jesus Designs?
I want them to feel special and unique. I want them to identify their style through my designs.
Where do you see your brand in the next 5 years?
I see my brand beginning to expand globally in the next 5 years.
For anyone launching their brand, what advice would you offer them?
For anyone launching their brand, I would advise them to believe in themselves, to knock on as many doors as possible, to never stop even if they have reached their goals, to really get to know who they design for, and realise what they offer that makes them different from the rest of the world, making people want to follow and support them.
What is your go-to quote when lacking motivation?
My quote is “You are you, and you are unique. You can make the impossible possible if you believe it.”
What do you do when you are lacking creativity?
I like to listen to music after midnight alone with a sketchpad and a computer; this is when I get most creative. I can sketch for hours.

My destination would be Africa. I would love to see and experience the culture, fashion, music, and environment.
