How did the idea of founding SANDCAT come about, and what was your vision behind creating a fashion brand that celebrates self-expression?

Although SANDCAT launched recently, the idea of SANDCAT as a non-traditional fashion brand took root many years ago. We observed a rising trend in events that embraced unique and unconventional outfits. While Burning Man is widely known, similar events were gaining traction worldwide. What struck us was that it wasn’t just about clothing; it was about valuing self-expression and breaking boundaries. People sought to express their individuality through their attire, but finding truly unique and bold outfits was often a challenge. These events occurred regularly, each demanding fresh and exceptional clothing combinations. As we immersed ourselves in these vibrant occasions, we were inspired by the people and the captivating outfits that stood out from the crowd. This inspiration propelled us to create a brand that would embrace and empower this vibrant community of self-expressionists.

SANDCAT’s mission is to encourage women to confidently own their styles. How do you ensure that each piece from your brand embodies this message and empowers women to stand out?

Indeed, our goal is not only to make women stand out but to do so with unwavering confidence. When selecting our collection, we focus on finding the right balance where you feel incredible in what you wear without compromising comfort. One key element you’ll notice is our extensive use of stretchy fabrics. These fabrics provide comfort and are tailored to fit various sizes and body shapes. We also love that our designs are all handmade, adding a special quality to each item, making them look unique and exclusive. Most importantly, we listen to our customers and continuously strive to improve our designs. This helps us cultivate a community where women can openly share experiences, express themselves, and draw inspiration from one another. That’s the essence of our brand.

Fashion is ever-evolving, with trends coming and going. How does SANDCAT stay relevant in the fast-paced fashion industry while maintaining a distinctive brand identity?

We take great pride in our distinctive brand identity, setting ourselves apart in the fast-paced fashion industry. Instead of chasing temporary trends, we believe that lasting relevance comes from embracing our unique and futuristic approach. Our focus is on creating timeless, innovative, and forward-thinking designs. That’s why we are actively exploring the realm of AI designs, which allows us to push the boundaries of creativity. Collaborations with influencers and celebrities have become common in the fashion world. Have you engaged in any exciting partnerships or collaborations that have had a significant impact on SANDCAT’s journey?

Collaborating with influencers is highly important to us as it helps us gain credibility and trust from our audience. When influencers partner with us, their loyal followers also start to trust our brand, gradually building our SANDCAT community.

In the early stages, we collaborated with the talented Estonian actress, Ingrid Margus (@ingridmargus), who modeled our products and promoted them on Instagram. This collaboration had an immediate positive impact on our brand visibility and paved the way for further partnerships, including one with the highly successful Estonian influencer and media personality, Brigitte Susanne Hunt (@brigittesusanne). As we continue to expand into new markets, we have been fortunate to collaborate with a diverse range of international artists, DJs, and other creative minds. Working with influencers is an ongoing journey for us, and we will continue to collaborate with them to expand our brand.
