Kobuk River, Alaska

If you love to angle and wrestle with some fish, The Kobuk River will be a great challenge for you. This place is not for the fainthearted. They have some pretty strong fish up here. Sheefish is one of the strong fish that you’ll find in the Kobuk River. Catching one of them is no joke and will require some tough gear. Florida Keys, Florida

The Florida Keys is an archipelago made of 1700 islands and is only 15 miles south of Miami. It is known for its white sandy beaches and coral reefs, making it a great place for diving and experiencing marine life. But more importantly, it is one great fishing spot.

Charlotte Harbor, Florida

Charlotte Harbor is where most ocean lovers and sailors go to retire. It is known for being one of the best places to play golf, sail, and, of course, fish. Because it is connected to the Gulf of Mexico, Peace Myakka River, and Caloosahatchee River, there is great diversity in the species of fish found here.

Green River, Utah

If you’re into fly-fishing, the Green River is the place for you. The Green River spans 730 miles long. It starts at Wyoming, passes through Utah, and splits at Colorado. But the majority of the river’s body is inside Utah.

Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts

Simply known as the Vineyard, it’s an island with six towns and is the best location to catch some Bluefish and Striped Bass. This is also where they hold some of the country’s oldest fishing tournaments.

Cape Cod, Massachusetts

Aside from having one of the best beaches in America, Cape Cod is home to some of the best fishes to catch. Aside from Cod, you can also catch Striped Bass, Bluefish, Bluefin Tuna, Tautog, Scup, and more.

Cape Hatteras, North Carolina

Cape Hatteras is part of the Outer Banks. Just like any great fishing spot, this place has a great diversity of fish. Take note that if you plan on fishing here, you need to be experienced with harsh waters. There have been plenty of shipwrecks on Cape Hatteras.

Devil’s Lake, North Dakota

Don’t be worried about its name. The Devil’s Lake is nothing to be worried about. It’s a great campsite and is home to 24 different species of fish.

Thousand Islands, New York

If you’re looking to catch a Muskie that is 60 inches long,Thousand Islands is the fishing spot to try and do just that. Be prepared and bring your best gear because it will take all your might to catch a beauty like that.

Montauk, New York

Montauk is a great place to visit if you are on a tight budget. Great hotels offer low prices, giving you a great view of the ocean and an even greater selection of fish to catch.

Kona, Hawaii

Kona is thought to be one of Hawaii’s fishing capitals. Deep-sea fishing is taken to a whole other level here. The water depth on Kona is approximately 6,000 feet. It is also home to Mahi Mahi and Ono fish.

Lake Mead, Nevada

The great thing about Lake Meadis that you can fish here all year round. It is also home to some very heavy Striped Bass. The Striped Bass that you find here can weigh up to 40 pounds. People love to do some night fishing here as well. So you should go and try that out if you haven’t.

Lake Austin, Texas

If you’re all about that Bass,Lake Austinis the place for you. It is well-known for being one of the few places in America where you can catch a 20-pound largemouth.

Colorado River, Colorado

Colorado Riveris one of the major rivers in North America. It is also one of the best places to go for some fly-fishing. If you’re planning to catch some Salmon, June is the best month to do so.
