The Dr. Craft, Mandarin Range is a world first sustainable extract from food waste made into skincare products.

Before we go into detail about the newly launched skincare products by Dr. Craft, we need to let you know that the core team behind the launch use only green chemistry principle in extraction and formulation design. Equally, the brand uses waste as the key source of active ingredients, further enhanced by an array of sustainable, organic or ethically sourced ingredients.

About the sustainable mandarin extraction process:

  • To extract the rich and highly beneficial active ingredients in the mandarin peels, Dr. Craft soak the peels in a solvent. This is perfectly safe. A solvent is a liquid that helps dissolve an ingredient e.g. water is a solvent that dissolves sugar.
  • The solvent is then recycled and used for further extraction in the future.
  • Dr. Craft ensure that the extraction adheres to the highest sustainable standard by safely reducing liquid waste production, reducing disposal of waste emissions to the environment, and minimising the need for production.

Products Include

Mandarin Soothing Cream Cleanser, £18

Rich and creamy, the formula blends mandarin, sweet almond oil, apricot oil, bergamot, sweet orange, grapefruit, and lemon. The combination of natural surfactants lifts away impurities and make-up without drying out the skin, leaving it silky soft. Cream cleansers tend to be more hydrating and gentler on the skin so this one is particularly good for dry, sensitive, and more mature types.

Mandarin Gentle Brightening Exfoliator, £20

Contains hemp fibre, which has been repurposed from hemp seed oil production. A fantastic organic material, its much kinder to the skin than other abrasive natural exfoliators like walnut seeds or salts and works like a dream to buff away dead skin cells and renew the complexion. The natural and organic oils including bergamot fruit, sweet orange, mandarin, and grapefruit also work together to enhance the skin by creating a moisture barrier and improve suppleness.

Mandarin Purifying Toning Mist, £18

Formulated with mandarin extract, green tea extract, AHAs and BHAs like salicylic acid, along with soothing aloe vera. Use to soothe, hydrate, boost radiance and reduce congestion and the appearance of lines and wrinkles. Think of it like your skincare sandwich that goes in between cleansing and moisturising!

Mandarin Antioxidant Rescue Serum, £26

This super-charged serum helps firm, brighten, hydrate and tackle lines, wrinkles, dullness, and congestion. Playing a pivotal role in your routine, it also contains one of our favourite beauty boosting ingredients – niacinamide, which helps reduce the impact of environmental damage on the skin, repairs damage and improves skin tone.

All products are available to purchase from Dr. Craft and Face The Future.
