A Touch of New York in Budapest

Budapest may be renowned for its rich European culture and Roman spas, but the most beautiful cafe in the city is inspired by the one and only, New York City.

Built-in neo-renaissance style, with marble columns, sparkling chandeliers, stunning frescoes, and gilded details, the New York Cafe transports you to another era. Unlike any other ordinary cafe, this lavish place allows you to indulge in pure luxe, with a slice of cake and champagne.

The New York Cafe has been welcoming visitors for over 125 years, initially as a meeting place for the local bourgeoisie, as the elegant interior showcases its ultimate luxe and elegance. Although named after the Big Apple, this beautiful place fits in perfectly with Budapest’s grand architecture and culture.

Once you have entered, the first thing you will notice is the incredible marble columns, stuccoed angels, and glass chandeliers – it’s like a fairytale coming to life. If you love an Instagram hotspot, the New York Cafe in Budapest is the place to get that pic!

The menu is made up of Hungary’s most traditional desserts, with a large selection of decadent cakes including the caramel Dobos torte, chocolate cake, and the New York Cafe’s famous rich hot chocolate. The cuisine is absolutely delicious, but of course, that’s not the only thing people flock here for.

Beyond the beauty, there is live Gypsy music daily from 11 am, allowing you to take in the breathtaking views and exquisite ambiance of this affluent cafe.
